There were to many backups. Although, I honestly didn't see Hoho's plan alone being the key, and then Ed and the others plan being just to be able to use Alchemy

I got my hopes up after Father absorbed all the souls, and claimed to absorb "God".

This is my Watchmen is my favorite comic, the "villain" wins. I wanted to see Father as another Ozymandias, basically replacing humans with humonculi who would be more advanced and peaceful.

I want Pride to use Kimblee's alchemy, Scar used that circle along with Hoho. Anyway let me go back to my anime, I skipped ahead after I heard my fav (Father) was god.

Father had God inside him, he wasn't God
Without those souls, he couldn't contain it.

If he keeps fighting, he'll eventually loose God from his body, which was the plan from Hoho's team after all

Yes because he lost the souls, and therefore the energy to contain all the souls in the first place.

I wonder what "God" is. Did he absorb Truth? I'm curious to understand what the heck happened, but okay.

God=Truth=World=All

You see, "One is All and All is One"

This relates to our connections to the Truth, which is the "All"

Remember when Ed transmuted himself out of Gluttony? here were two gates right? One was his, and the other was the Truth's gate. One gate was the "One" and the other was the "All"

If you had read chapter 104 this would make more sense (it's here that Father takes in the Truth)

Nothing can beat it

And next chapter is the last one...with over 140 pages!!!

This seriously is my favorite series ever...and I fucking loved how Arakawa ended it.
I can't properly express how I feel right now actually...Fullmetal Alchemist is over...
