Well, since it's going to happen no matter how many virtual pitchforks and torches are presented here... I'm glad it's production values seem to be infinitely better than the horrid (hilarious too if you're not easily outraged at your childhood being punched in the balls) Dragonball Evolution movie.

...And now queue in the trailer where Kaneda is a high schooler that works in his grandpa's motorcycle garage and is called 'Kanedork' by the school bullies, who then dress as clowns for a Halloween party and beat him up.

ARGH!!! I thought they had finally stopped with the Akira LAM...! And I can just see that description coming true ("Kanedork" etc)...

And I never heard of that studio before, but whoever they are I'm pretty sure that no matter how horrible they do it, they will never do it as horrible as 20th Century Fox would...actually...who knows :S

I never read or watched Akira, but I just don't get it. Why does Hollywood insist on making hyper-Americanized versions of Japanese properties? It almost always looks worse or a lot worse.

The only thing I thought the American version did better for anything was the scariness factor in The Grudge with how the ghost lady moved but that's it.
