I would just like to post two of them here:

These two pics are a part of the view from one side of Kalemegdan fort. Friends or couples come here for a walk or to sit on one of the benches out in the open sky, so the fort is usually full of people. When the weather is nice I usually come there with a friend, sit on the bench, put my legs on the stone wall, drink beer, eat chips and just spend the night there enjoying the view.

No, I merely say St. John's most of the time as it's the main city here, and most known. Spanird's Bay is roughly, oh, an hour or so drive from St. John's. If you follow the speed limit, which is 100 km, it may take a bit longer. But nobody drives slower then 120km on the highway lol.

It averages around -20 degrees celsius in the winter, sometimes colder around -30. Though this winter sucked, it was fairly warm with little snow. (damned ass global warning) Summers are around + 20 or +25. Sometimes +30, not often.

Whoa, so it can be really cold there. I remember going skiing at -20 once and it really wasn't enjoyable experience at all, lol. It was freezing, visibility was a couple of meters and what made it all worse was the damn wind. It just broke through every layer of my clothes and after a couple of hours I had to quit.

Cold for you, just meh for us. Though we live here, we're use to it lol.

You want to see true cold, go further North to the upper reigns of Labrador. I watch the show "Ice Road Truckers" (comes on history channel). Winter temperature there can reach -40 and below. It's so cold that the drivers must keep there rigs running almost all the time, if they shut them off, they'll freeze and won't start.

Yeah, I guess I would get used to it too. The only problem I had was the wind, that really made the existing conditions even worse. I watched that show a couple of times. I don't know how do they manage to see anything when there is a blizzard I guess they just keep on driving forward.

Well they got to, to can't stop to long on the ice, the vibration of the trucks could cause the ice to weaken and then you'll break through.

Anyway, yeah, the cold and wind I guess you do need to get use to.

Hell, at winter, I'm outside for hours some days shoveling snow from the steps. There is really only one way I can throw the snow, cause the house and driveway blocks the other sides. So I got the cold, wind, then wind often blowing snow back in my face every time I tosses a shovel full of snow. Razz
