So I just beat Super Mario Galaxy 2...

I also got up to 125 stars I think. You read correctly-as in there are double the amount of stars in this game as there normally would be. Also, I read getting 240 of 'em unlocks a special galaxy (unlocking 101 and beating the game unlocks an entire area of special levels).

All I can say is the game is completely awesome and my favorite part is that it packs some nostalgic surprises. I mean that

My only gripe is that one of the tougher levels towards the end of the game has a really messed up pre-set camera angles. It doesn't help that due to the weird camera angles, there is a problem with depth perception. I find the best remedy is to check if your shadow to find out where you will land. It's no worse than it was in the first Super Mario Galaxy. IGN gave it a 10/10. Not a "Perfect" score but a "Masterful" score. If you ask me...yeah, I'd say it's masterful. I'm sad that I have to turn it in tomorrow. It was fun enough to cause a few wasted rental days of Red Dead Redemption which I will have to re-rent yet again.

Oh I remember that song, god how many hours did I spend playing Super Mario 64 back in the day.

Same here. I spent so much time on Mario 64, but was only able to get about 90 stars. In Mario Galaxy 2 over the course of four days, I was able to rack up 161 or 165 stars before having to return (though I plan on getting all 242 when I rent it again so my brother can finish it). It just goes to show the difference in skill when you're 8 and when you're in your 20s.
