I found Batman: the Killing Joke!
Yay!
Its a different cover too; the coloring of the interior artwork is the original brightly colored one, but the Joker's "Smile" on the front cover has the "!"
I look forward to reading it!

I've always wanted to read this, Year One, and The Dark Knight Returns.

Re: I found Batman: the Killing Joke!
Wow... What a story!! I'm seriously serious, if you have any love for Batman then you NEED this comic!! Save up all your cash and buy an expensive one if you can't find a cheap copy, and if you still can't afford a copy then steal one!!
Well, I maaaaaaay be overexagerating a bit there, but it was very good. It felt like my favorite era of Batman; I know that the coloring in the original wasn't the way Brian Bolland (the artist) wanted it to be colored, but I think it just made it better. Yes it is somewhat garishly colored, but it doesn't in any way resemble Joel Shumacher's Batman films.
The story was pretty effing harsh in places. This comic did something that no other comic has made me do; it made me feel sorry for the Joker. The poor guy had "just one bad day" and it screwed him over so badly. And what happened to Barbera was incredibly distrubing. I won't spoil it for those who don't know what happens yet, but its one page with no words and the awful thing kind of just... happens. Poor Babera...
And the ending was great too, you see that Batman isn't a supernatural creature, you see that he's just a normal guy in a costume.
In short, get this book, or at least try to read it!
And Milo, I'll try to get some scans up soon! Any scenes in particular you want to see?
In the meantime, check out the comparisons between the original and the new re-release from 2008!
