Damn it's hard getting a rear sprockt for a Honda 83 Big Red

I've been trying to get the Big Red running for summer, it's sat unused all winter. The engine is perfect. (Well exhaust is on it's way out, so she's a little noisy. But really, who gives a shit about exhaust, I don't care about noise.) 3 parts I needed was the front and rear sprocket, and a chain. I got the front sprocket and chain, total of about $22 for both at Honda Town. Now I'm waiting on the fucking rear sprocket. There's about 4 or 5 people waiting on the rear sprockets for their ATC, Honda Town orders in the part, and the company keeps shipping them the wrong sprocket. Honda Town got a pile of rear sprockets, but it's a part for a motorcycle, or dirt bike or some crap like that. It won't fit a ATC.

After like a month now, they've decided to call a different provider, or another company all together trying to get the part.

Fuck, I got half a mind to just buy a second bike and use it for scrape. It'll probably be a lot easier.

You're driving an '83 Honda? Even though it's a Honda, I'm surprised a car that old is still running. Kudos for that.

A 3 wheeler. These are called a ATC (all terrain cycle). Modern 4 wheelers are called a ATV (all terrain vehicle). A car wouldn't be running on sprockets and a chain

Oh, I see. Try not to get killed on it. I keep hearing stories about kids getting killed on these things including one in my town. I hear they flip over very easily.

They do flip easily, hell I've flipped mine when I first started out. They stopping making them because they where to "dangerous", which I'll be honest, is pure bullshit.

The only people that get killed on these are idiots who drive way to fast.

These bikes are as light as hell, I've flipped mine, pushed it off me, dusted myself off, got back on and drove on. You take the bikes these days, these big 400, 500, 600's. If you flip that, it'll be like a car landing on you. It'll crush you.

There is no such thing as a dangerous bike, there are only dangerous drivers.
