Kid Buu vs Goku

I say Kid Buu.
He's at least as powerful as Goku, or on the same level if not a stronger. He can regenerate from almost nothing, and do it instantly. His power is not being sucked away like Goku in SSJ3 state. (Seriously, that form drains way to much power, it's useless for extended battles.)
Goku said he could of destroyed Kid Buu if he went all out from the start. But then again, he though he could destroy the androids before the virus kicked in. He thought Goten and Trunks as Gotenks could stop Buu, He thought he could defeat Frieza before obtaining SSJ. Goku's not always right, so what he claims is far from rock solid proof.

Actually Goku CAN beat Kid Buu, he didn't just SAY, he could do it, he was doing it, he dominated Kid Buu in SS3, but it rapidly drained his energy is what happened, regeneration won't matter if Goku completely eradicates Buu.
Goku could have destroyed the Androids easily, the virus hindered him. Goten, and Trunks at the time he was there dealt with Majin Buu, not Super Buu. They could have dominated Majin Buu, hell there cockiness and child like nature is the reason they didn't murder Super Buu before he absorbed them. Being that it's a relatively simple story, I think when Goku says he can beat someone, Toriyama is telling you 'Goku can beat this guy if he wanted'.

But Goku know's he can just use the dragon balls to repair the damage, Gohan was holding back in the final Kamehameha for a bit because of the same fear but Goku explained the dragonballs could repair the damage, so Goku wouldn't hold back either.

Lol for sake of debate, we can assume the earth is empty like after Super Buu "cleaned" the population, plus Goku knows they have the Dragon Balls, plus we can assume there bloodlusted.
Goku in SSJ3 can defeat Kid Buu, he didn't because he wanted Vegeta to have a turn.
Goku would want to finish this fight quickly, he won't screw around or waste time. He wouldn't give Kid Buu the chance to destroy the planet.

Still, there's the instinctive hesitation, Goku can't erase it from his personality.

He can just rain down planet busting ki blasts, I doubt Goku will manage to counter them all.
Or just teleport to other side of the planet or outer space and blow it up from there before Goku reaches him.
