Hello! Jessie told me you were having trouble with that arsehole in the red trench coat – Genesis in Crisis Core! So I’m here to help you out!

My advice is this: quit sucking.

NAH NAH NAH!! Just kidding! I’m not like those elitist snobs who think that (just because they think they’re the best at a game) they can act all high and mighty and push others around.

RIGHT!!! Let’s get it oooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnn!

First thing that comes to my (twisted, chaotic, bizarre and weird) mind is levelling up. I know how strange the levelling system in Crisis Core can be, trust me! If you want it explained, then just ask! I was able to beat Genesis’ 2 forms with Zack being level 40 something. As with all Final Fantasy games (I think), you need to fight the final boss more than once.

Next thing is the set up! Make sure you have plenty of potions, hi-potions, ethers and Phoenix Downs. As for Materia, have a Curaga or a Curaja (I think I beat him with Curaga. If you have Curaja, equip that one just to be on the safe side). For equipment and accessories, try to get Zack’s HP as close to 9999 as possible, Genesis has 2 forms so you need to be able to take quite some damage like him! Use the HP+ Materia’s. Also, boost his ATK so you can do as much physical damage as you can. Oh, and the Dodge Roll ability comes in handy too.

Right, onto the forms, I’ll split it up into 2 sections;

Genesis Avatar –

Okay, he’s a big bugger isn’t he? Not to worry; the bigger they are, the harder they fall! When he stabs his massive sword in the ground, run up to it and hack and slash and use powerful magic if you have it; my friend said that Costly Punch helped him out a ton. Genesis also gets little creatures to come and attack you. Try to not waste much time fighting them; just take out a few of them and then concentrate on the sword. I can’t remember what Costly Punch does exactly, but I do know that it is very powerful, somebody on a website wrote this about it:

“Costly punch ignores all vit and spr and cost 1/128th of your hp so you will never notice the loss of life. Its only bad thing is that it will not work if you hp is in break above you life over 10% or something.”

Apparently you can defeat Genesis with about three Costly Punches! Try it out! I didn’t know of CP, so it took me ages and ages and ages to defeat this first form! @__@

Normal Genesis –

This battle is nowhere near as hard as the first one. Make sure you fully heal from the last battle. Genesis has blockable and dodgeable attacks. If you don’t think you’ll be able to dodge roll in time, then simply block. His physical attacks sting like a b***h, so try to be as fast as you can! Use up all your magic and if you run out of MP, then use the Ethers and potions! Keep slashing at him (use some magic attacks if you want) and eventually he’ll go down!

Then all you have to do is get the Kleenex ready and watch the ending!

And then select New Game+ and you’ll be able to go through the entire game again with all your stats, your level and items and Materia from the start!

Never played Crisis Core...only played original FF7...seriously, I don't know why they made so many games for it. Some of them were just plain brand exploitation.

What they need to fucking do, is remake the original FF7 with super next gen graphics...so I can actually cry for Aeris dying and not feel like a damned nerd...(seriously, while sad, to me, it's even sadder I cried cause such a low bit character died...but I can't help it T_T)

Thanks so much i will have to try its just like im in the warehouse part and i cant really leave to leave up so pretty much i have to run around one room and wait for enemies to come then run and save before the next ones come and everytime i fight him there is a huge cutscene before it with him hojo and cloud so it is sooooo annoying TT.TT

Also, seriously, Chu. If you have PSN, and can download. Do it. Also, they re released FF's 1 and 2 as actual games, not just downloads, for the PSP

You need to check those out as well. They reanimated some stuff and everything . FF is a magical series. One of the oldest still active, and helped cement the PS1's popularity (this was FF7 btw)

Hey Lol! PSN is completely free! The only thing you pay for are the games and some DLC and the clothing items in the Playstation Home mode.

And I must pick up FFI and FFII on the PSP... I've seen 'em for years in the shops.

I've always seen one copy of both games for PSP in GAME for many years now. Thing is, I already have them (FF Origins for the PSOne), so until I beat them, I'm not gettin' the PSP versions!
