Can't believe I forgot to post my thoughts on DBZ Vol. 11!!

It arrived last week and of course, I read it all in one night. It was too addictive! Goku hit Frieza with the Electric Rice Cooker... well, the Spirit Bomb, Frieza killed Krillin and Goku made his hair go yellow!! Then the fighting and the blasting and then more fighting!! The only bad thing is that ends right when Frieza throws his two Kienzan Discs at Goku!! I can't wait to order volume 12! 
One interesting note is that in the manga, after he has recovered from the Spirit Bomb, Frieza just shoots a Death Beam through Piccolo. In the anime, Frieza shoots the beam at Goku, but Piccolo pushes him out of the way and takes the beam himself. Interesting...

Makes sense really, I mean Goku had just blasted Frieza with the spirit bomb. Wouldn't you expect Frieza to be a bit upset about that and try to blast Goku? To Frieza Piccolo is nothing but "just another Namek"

Anime does certain things to make things appear more epic like Bleach for example they're adding in scenes right now that didn't happen in the manga to more epic.

Dragon Ball Manga is just as good as anime, I highly recommend it to anybody who didn't read it, especially DB fans.
Sure there are some differences, in the anime they changed some elements and scenes but they are made by the Akira Toriyama himself...and some of those changes are even great, some perhaps unnecessary, but all in all both are epic in their own way.
