It really depends on your interests dosen't it. I prefer 360 because of Xbox live and more people use it in my opinion. The controls are cooler and there are more games.

OMG. Finally something where I can pwn you all.

Ok, from the beggining.

PS3 is much more versatile and capable in games. It's just started, so it's to early to put "lack of games" as a disadvantage. It's processing power is stronger, and the new models have very low crash accounts (malfunctions and such). Plus, PS controllers are the shit. I never liked the XBox ones. On the other hand, you buy a console for the fun of it, and for now, the 360 is simply more fun. More players online (the PS3 as a online mode too, but still very few people play it).

However, I would still buy a PS3 if given the choice. 1 or 2 years more maybe, and unique games for it will appear. Final Fantasy, for example.
Also, the 360 doesn't offer that much games the PS3 doesn't offer as well. Halo and Gear of War are the only ones that come to mind

The last area is budget. Yes, the PS3 is more expensive, but knowing what it will offer in the future. Me personally, I would still buy it.

Final verdict. PS3 wins by just a little. If it had Halo...then all my doubts would be erased.
