Ghost in the shell is going to be awesome. Dreamworks studio's, producers from the X men (3 awesome movies) and Spiderman movies, and best of all, FOX has nothing to do with it.

Re: New LAM projects
I don't know about that. I don't want them to fuck up GITS with some terrible actors (Jessica Alba) and even worse plots. Although I haven't watched this newest X-men movie. Also, I haven't read any original material, so I can't objectively evaluate those movies. First Spiderman sucked a lot, but that is the only movie that I watched, I didn't manage to find the time for the sequels.

Re: New LAM projects
I found Spiderman somewhat alright, I wouldn't choose to watch it, but if I'm bored and nothings on, then alright. In sense it's not so much "good", yet it's not horrible.
As for Jessica Alba, she plated in Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and The Eye. These are 3 great movies as well. So I wouldn't say she's a terrible actor.
Also the new X Men is a great action film, I'd recommend it.

Jessica Alba is eye candy/thread
As for the Origins movie...well, you don't know the original so go for it.

Re: New LAM projects
She is beautiful, no dubt about it. But I'm not so convinced that she's a good actor. I don't consider her the best choice for the Fantastic Four, but since I'm not interested in the whole thing my opinion doesn't matter that much. I don't know what do fans of the F4 have to say about her.
To me- her peak are those mushy dance movies. I wouldn't like to see people like her in GITS LAM, although I wouldn't like to see GITS LAM from the start...
I can't believe that those bastards can't come up with their own scripts.

Their idea of making scripts is ruining the original ones, removing what is good and different and replace it with american cliche shit and stupid teen romantic talks All hail hollywood

Re: New LAM projects
In all honesty though, GITS does seem like something that can easily be taken and implemented into a LAM, and unlike most anime, they should, SHOULD be able to make a hour and a half - two hour movie out of a story arch without to much trouble.
If they fuck up this, then they may as well just give up all together.
After all, a lot of what's in GITS does exist in the real world today, now of course there is stuff they'll need to rebuild or replicate with CGI. But when GITS is compared to something like DB (which pretty much nothing in the DB universe exist today), you can see how much easier a GITS movie would be to create.
As always, I'm going to keep hope on this until I see the movie. After all, to me there has been a few good LAM's such as all the X-Men films, Fantasic 4 films, and Iron Man.
