Vampires vs Demons.

Vampires vs Lycans (werewolf) has been done to death. So I figure I'd try something new, Vampires vs demons. What one is the stronger species.

Depends. But, going into different sources of classical literature, demons have an obvious edge. However, if we bring the clock a bit down the line to our day and age, vampires are the strongest.

dude, all those demons are based on old literature. Sure, they're from comic books and what not, but their concepts are VERY old.
Most of today's demons are based on old literature. Hard to find originals. Inuyasha is one of the few I know for example
Vampires, on the other hand, have evolved in their portrait...so it's only natural they become stronger.

Can Alucard beat Abigail from Devilmaycry??
Yusuke from yu yu hakusho is also a demon, and his powers are close to the z warriors.... normally vampires seem weaker (in the animes or cartoons), if we compare them to demons... thats my feeling
