This music video made me cry the third time I saw it, when it all really sunk in. I was watching it with mom that time, I wanted her to see and I cried my eyes out, I was kind of embarrassed


The song and video is about a young scientist who builds a robot girl and falls in love with her, and tries to teach her to have a heart and human emotions, but of course it can't. He grows up and the robot is forever the same, but he loves her anyway, and he knows she will be around after he's gone. He dies of old age and the robot can't really comprehend any of it. hundreds of years pass, and she finds a program on the computer that allows her to have a heart and emotions, and she remembers everything the scientist did for her and feels sad, then happy and runs around the tree he planted for her. She finds a portal that allows her to send a message back in time to the scientist just before he died and thanked him. His soul comes to her in the form of himself when he was younger, and they run and play and sing for a while. Then the time comes for the scientist to pass on, and his spirit disappears. Having the heart and emotions was too much for the robot to handle, and at that moment, she froze up and shut down, never to move again. But she "dies" smiling, thankful for the time she had.
I just started crying writing that last sentence.

I read the translation of the lyrics, they're beautiful...one of the parts it's the scientist singing, and he says "first miracle was that you were born, second miracle was the time we had together"
I dunno, I just find that so beautiful...that alone makes me cry. maybe because mom sometimes says something very similar to me.

i've had plenty of dogs in my life, some who've dies, some who i had to give away, n some who ran away

i didnt watch the video plain n simple, but if its about somebody's dog dying then fuck them n fuck u too

i could care less about any living thing dying; delivered from evil n suffering, thats how i see it

n another thing, possession of a dog does not mean sympathy for dogs. there are plenty of piece of shit dog owners n selfish brats who dont kno how to take care of a dog. i also dont believe in ownership of living things, its "mans best friend" not "mans best possession"

thats also why i think having a kid is selfish as fuck. at least planning it is, its like "oh i want a kid so bad, that would make my life complete"

i was talking to my friend about that, he came up with the perfect description of how i feel, he said something like
"fuck, why did i have to randomly spawn into existence n grow up n develop a conscience based on my experiences and have emotions about them"

something like that, it was awesome

but the reason that applies is because the reason i think planning a kid is selfish is because ur bringin that bastard into a fucked up imperfect world where he or she will indefinitely feel pain n anguish n fear
