I wonder what would happen if I were to build a spaceship in some barren part of this country(USA) and tried to launch through atmosphere? I asked that question on yahoo. I had several answers, quantumclaustrophobe replied:

He did exactly that. He was in trouble with the FBI for having enough fuel to make a very impressive bomb, building a flying vehicle without being inspected by the FAA, and attempting to fly through US airspace without a flight plan and permission from the FAA.

You'd be arrested for a couple of probably 50 violations; if you were inside city limits, there'd likely be a few city ordinances that would've been broken as well.

What about you guys?

^I didn't know that one needs a permission for something like that...but now when I think of it, it does kind of make sense, because it could be dangerous for others.

As for what I wonder about:
I wonder why humanity hasn't still invented a system where all these personal cards, health cards, insurances, estate information, driving license and all that paperwork is substituted with a SINGLE DAMN FILE(and a single card) similar to the, lets say - forum account. So one doesn't have to go from bank to work, from work to court, from court to police and so on for DAAAAYS just to get a stupid paper confirmed by all of them.

Instead, that single file could be processed across the bank network or the internet and it all could be confirmed and done in seconds.

But no, for some reason people just LOVE to complicate things absolutely unnecessarily...I will never understand why.
