So what moments in anime/manga surprised you?

You know, a moment that you honestly didn't see coming! Here's my biggest anime surprises!

Dragonball Z -
Trunks kills Frieza and King Cold
This one really made me go "WHAT!?!?!?!?" A mysterious lavendar haired boy suddenly arrives near Frieza and his daddy and instantly kills them with no effort whatsoever. Of course, after seeing the Frieza/Goku battle which lasted for several episodes (a.k.a. the longest 5 minutes ever), it was such a shock to see a complete stranger arrive and just kill him with no effort. I honestly thought that (after seeing him go Super Saiyan) Trunks would team up with Goku to beat Frieza and his father, whilst the other Z fighters took care of Frieza's men. How wrong I was!

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX -
Jaden duels Yugi
Now this was REALLY unexpected! In the first few minutes of GX episode 1, Jaden bumps into Yugi (we never see his face, but its clearly him), who gives him his Winged Kuriboh card. Then during the final part of the second to last episode, Yugi meets with Jaden again, zaps him back in time and has a great duel with him! No build up to that moment whatsoever, no hints that it was going to happen, it just happens!

Tekken the animated movie -
Anna Williams gets killed by an Alex (dinosaur)
This was one of the more shocking twists in an anime for me. Whilst fighting her sister Nina, Anna begins taunting her opponent, completely unaware that a camoflauged Alex (all the dinos are called Alex ^___^) is creeping up behind her. She finds out one second too late as she is mauled and killed with her anguished scream echoing throughout the forest. Although it happened offscreen (you only see the resulting blood splatter), this was still a disturbing and shocking moment!

Sailor Moon -
The Senshi are all killed during the ending of the first season
This was a real sort of "Hey, do you like these characters? Well we're killing 'em off now, HAHA!!" moment. Whilst storming the lair of Queen Beryl, the Sailor Scouts are each suddenly killed off one by one after sacrificing themselves so that Sailor Moon can advance to Queen Beryl. One by One, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars and Venus are all killed right before your eyes. Even though they get revived in the end, it was still surprising.

Tokyo Mew Mew -
Finding out that Elliot wasn't the Blue Knight
This one was downright one of those "WTF!?!?" moments for me. Zoey (the main character) has this blue knight that saves her sometimes and fights along with her and her friends. He looks like Zoey's friend and boss Elliot, has the same exact blonde hairstyle AND voice actor (Sean "Goku" Schemmel). After I did a bit of web browsing, it turns out that Blue Knight is actually Zoey's boyfriend Marc!! Marc has black hair, not blonde, and he isn't voiced by Sean Schemmel, nor can he fight.

Code Geass

Me was learning Shirley saved Lelouch despite the fact that as his alter ego Zero, he murdered his father. She then proceed to shooting the witness and then later on.... she defended him and even protected him slightly from the insane mind reader Mao.

Also C.C's kind and affectionate side for Mao shocked me.

TTGL: Kamina's Death

No the actual moment, but when he first got pwned out of fucking nowhere...after that you knew shit was gonna happen...but man, I was surprised

Bleach: Aizen's Betrayal and pwnage of everyone

This one was just...WTF!!! I was like WAT!! Seriously, he's suddenly alive, and then pwns 2 captains and Ichigo like...EASILY!! Also, the finger was the greatest part.

One Piece: Straw Hat Separation

They...never fucking lost...and then right there, before your eyes, Kuma gets in that motherfucker and sends them all to away...I was so shocked...side note, in a recent chapter, something happened that made you WTF as well, but it's a spoiler.

Shama King(Manga): Hao becomes Shaman King

You know how the good guys always win...yeah no. In the they manage to turn him into a good king, but fuck...you seriously thought it was all fucked

there was a stupid scene in higurashi that blew my mind for no reason...
keiichi was in Satoko's house to check on her, and there was a package of food that said the date was 1986 or something. I was all "WTF THIS IS IN THE 80'S?!?" I don't know why it surprised me so much honestly.

Zatch bell had some out-of-nowhere horribly sad crap happen like Kiddo's, yopopo's and kolulu's books being burnt and just other random stuff.

Uh, in naruto, Orochimaru just freaked me out every step of the way in the chuunin exams arc. Everything suprised me X D

Seconded, I was soooo surprised there

Also I was extremely negatively surprised with Vegeta's behavior in the first Brolly movie. But hey I love the whole movie very much regardless. But man that is always going to be one big "WTH!!!!!!??????" in my mind that was just not Vegeta.

Also in Digimons when I first saw Metal Garurumon and War Graymon.
I thought they can only be War Garurumon and Metal Graymon, but then I thought: "wouldn't it be awesome if they'd exchange their War-Metal attributes between themselves I have a feeling that they would both look even more awesome, shame that can't be done " and In the few next episodes it actually happened and I was really positively surprised

actually DTX, it's WereGarurumon (as in werewolf)
