Newfoundland, about an hour outside St. John's.
While the west and central parts of the island has been getting snow for a while, all us east coasters had was rain... but at last, we get snow.

I've hated the fact that ever since 2007 and I think as early as 2006, it hasn't felt like Christmas at all for me... It's a real bugger; Christmas Day just feels like a normal day but with presents!

I haven't really felt that good old atmosphere neither for Christmas or New Year since then, but I am positive about it as I know that it was all because and it will all depend mostly on me, so naturally if I care enough this New Year I will do something about it and actually go somewhere for the New Year for the first time in my life(although I don't have idea where, some rock concert would be awesome

They only got a DELAY, they didn't miss the whole day.
Also now-adays when the school cancels school, they take off days in Christmas Break, Thanksgiving Break, Spring Break, Summer vaacationm ect so I'd be pissed as well.

That sucks. Knowing me, if the school called saying "holiday's has been shortened due to school days missed", I'd be like. "Yeah, I don't care" and hang up the phone and not return to school till I took the full vacation anyway.
Wouldn't of been my first time skipping school. Luckily I don't have to worry about that anymore, I'm passed my high school years. I basically finished my grade 12 and said "enough of this, I'm done". Spent 12 years of my life going to school, that was long enough. No collage or crap.
Back to the topic anyway, sucks you guys don't get snow.
