Re: Star Trek vs Star Wars
I'm not a fan of either to be honest, but I love anything that cracks jokes or make fun of SW (like Space Balls, the Family Guy star wars specials, etc) It's just to epic funny to ignore.
Anyway, both are futuristic shows with space ships and laser guns and stuff right. I think Star Wars has the advantage though because they have "The Force" right, so I'll vote on SW.

Re: Star Trek vs Star Wars
Star Trek wins my friends, ST dominates. It's so obvious.
I'm a Trekkie.
Star Trek has the planet killer, a superior version of the death star. They have cloaking devices, Warp Drive, Deflector Shielding.
So Trek has teleportation, yeah.

I hadn't noticed that.
Well in light of recent events, I say Star Wars win where Stark Trek doesn't exist and is merely a fake of of Star Trek.

Re: Star Trek vs Star Wars
You obviously didn't read the thing did you?
This is Empire vs Federation (you can include the Romulans if it makes you happy). That's the accepted debate when you say SW vs ST. People often, when loosing, revert to bringing out one episode wonders in order to save themselves when it comes to this one. Furthermore, if the humans defeated all those treats, it's safe to say that the Federation is stronger.
In short, just effing stick to the Federation vs Empire. Then who wins?

Re: Star Trek vs Star Wars
Wait wait that's not fair, man you said Star Trek as in the VERSE! Meaning it's characters. That's like putting DBZ against TTGL, and only having their technologies against each other?!
Q and his species pretty much give the victory to Star Trek. Also why do you think humans defeated all these threats? Q's species is neutral, and when one of them abuses their powers, the rest of the species stops them. Heck if the Federation is in universal danger, they step in but only then.
I'm sticking to the entire Star Trek verse, meaning Q is in this. He's a recurring character, not a "one episode wonder".

Not. Q is neutral, you just said it.
If you wanna play by verse, then apply proper alliances and society.
In wish case, Q could care less which human race wins (SW or ST)
And I state the rules. It's Empire/Republic vs Federation.
Just admit it. Without using the Q you guys loose, and using the Q is the same as using God...yeah well the SW universe has God as well, can I use him? No, I can't.

Re: Star Trek vs Star Wars
No, you just can't stand to loose. Star Trek is not just humans, it's composed of several civilizations. You didn't specify in the original post(Don't go edit the original post).
Everyone in the verse should be allowed to be involved in the fight, not just weapons! That's unfair. Also Q is a good person, he's friends with some of the humans. He's not Alladdin's Genei, but he wouldn't stand by and watch the human race get slaughtered. Also no Q isn't God, because be's been beaten before.
He's just more powerful then anyone in the SW-verse. Also don't forget the Borg Collective, they can just assimilate all the force users. Then SW is screwed, or the Red Matter bomb can be used. Star Trek is very powerful, even without Q.

Star Trek weapons = Fancy names
You saw the statistics right? I proven in terms of power, Star Wars can cause much more damage.
And the Borg cube wouldn't be able to take a Death Star beam to the face
Q would not get involved. The mans as neutral as neutral can be.
You just don't want to admit that Federation is a little bunch of pussies that get their asses handed to them by the Empire...just like all the other Trekkies

Dude your a Star Wars fanboy. One thing I've learned is when it comes to this debate, Star Wars fans go insane, ignore all logic and reasoning, and support SW.
I don't care about no statics, and ST wins whether you want to admit it or not. I admit when I loose, that's an ability your lacking. The ability to understand when you've lost a debate. The Borg Collective can assimilate all the Jedi and Sith therefore gaining control of the force.
BC can pwn the ST universe, and the RMB is capable of gravitational like portals, and other mass chaos. The Federation is not the only group in the ST verse.

Re: Star Trek vs Star Wars
Yeah Chu, you have no right to tell me about sore loosing
And I loose it because Trekkies are the ones that loose it...typical debate
"SW vs ST who wins?"
"Trekkie presents flawed arguments about the Federation being capable of mass pwnage. They normally also state that SW doesn't have shield technology for some reason
"SW fan pwns this logic with numbers"
"Skip 40 post that it takes for the ST fan to let go and admit that SW is more technologically advance than ST"
"ST fan uses Q"
"SW fan just sighs and shuts up"
Hence, why I'm banning every fucking other damned race other than the Federation races. Heck, throw in the fucking Romulans because they've been given a huge spotlight as well. But Q and Borg and the like are one hit wonders...HECK! Q and Borg weren't even the original, not even has a mention. So, I repeat:
Federation vs Empire...who wins?
If you don't want to agree and want to keep using the damned Borg and the Q...heck you know what, forget about the Borg, use those mother fuckers too. Just stop using the Q
Now, to pwn the Borg quickly, here's the thing. They've have to assimilate something. The Empire does not fuck around like the Federation. One warning, identify yourselves. The second the Borg failed to comply, they'd get blow to fucking hell with one shot from the planet destroying Death Star. End Game.
PC, we haven't even gotten into the actual Force...if we get into that...yeah, ST looses badly. But, of course, seeing as I'm a fanboy and you're not, I suppose me using the books series where the force has been used to warp space is...fanboyism?

Re: Star Trek vs Star Wars
I'm not a sore looser. Star Wars is not more technologically advanced then Star Trek, if you believe then I'll recommend you for help.
Also no, your being unfair. You just want Star Wars to win, you can't alter rules. You didn't state that when you originally posted. Your a fanboy as soon as you loose, you start adding rules to push the debate in your favor. Q and the Borg Collective are both major characters mind you.
Also no, I can use Q and every other person in the Star Trek verse. If you don't want them then the debate should have been Federation vs Empire, not Star Wars vs Star Trek. ST pwns SW, you just can't admit it. There not one hit wonders, get over it.
The BC have the power to adapt to all attacks, via forming energy shields. Therefore they can block the Death Star beam, laser blasters, light sabers. Then they'll use NANOTECHNOLOGY to infect the beings within the SW-verse, and take over.
The force is nothing compared to all the powerful beings in the Star Trek verse. Yes your a fanboy you can bring up one time feats, while I can't bring in major characters imply because of there strength level? This is hilarious, Star Wars fans make my day.

Re: Star Trek vs Star Wars
One time feats? Alright then motherfucker, here's the feats for you:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_Storm_%28wormhole%29
At least 4 separate uses, 1 of them massive. Several mentions along the entire book series.
With that said, you're laughing at me, like I'm fanboying...I'm setting the rules. I'm not like you. I don't start topics just to start them and win. Need I remind you the countless times you've done this? The warning from DTX you've gotten over both that, and your inability to debate without being an overzealous stubborn idiot. Not once did I mock you...well, not counting that time I trolled you to shut you up.
Again, with that said, I'm merely leveling this so it doesn't end as quick as it starts.
As as for the Borg, they can't auto adapt. They only adapt after they've been hit by the weapons once. You don't even know how the Borg work do you?
The collective has a mother ship. This mothership produces the Borg Cubes and other Borg vessels, as well as houses the queen, or such, the main controller of the Borg.
When Borg ships are destroyed, the main ship uses the data to, from hence forth, adapt ALL ships to the new type of weapon, making them immune
If the Death Star destroys this ship first, not only can't the Borg effectively coordinate (for some time anyway) but they wont be able to transmit the data of the Death Star beam to each vessel...at least until they reorganize.
In actual person to person fighting, even if the Borg can't be destroyed by the light sabers, I doubt they can adapt to telekinesis. The Jedi simply push the Borg into outer space
So, with that said, I think I've pwned the Borg. People that don't actually WATCH Star Trek, and just get info off the net or started watching cause of the recent movie, assume that the Borg can auto adapt. If they'd actually seen the shows, they'd know this is not the case. So, before assuming I hate Star Trek and only like Star Wars, I'll let you know I like Star Trek much more. I just know when I'm beat, and I know when I'm wrong

Force-storm,wow.. Also I don't start topics just to win them either? I simply debate, fine then you know what You won't allow me to use anyone in Star Trek that can actually fight, so Star Wars wins, since you won't let me use Q,Q-Continuum, ect?
Ya Happy, I don't see the point..of making a one-sided debate.

I'm banning the near godly race...and you give up? You still have all the others for gods sake? Do I have to switch sides and help the Trek verse?
Alright, even if we assume the Empire has MASSIVE advantage, if we assume that somehow the federation is working with the Borg...which I doubt can ever happen but fuck it, Picard's and the other fleet commands tactical genius comes into play. Need I remind you what happened last time the Borg got a hold of Picard's intelligence? And this time he's cooperating.

Dude, if I don't give up you'll start saying how I'm an insane Star Trek fanboy, and so forth. Dude what others, according to what I just say with the Force Storm, Star Trek is screwed. There only hope of winning was Q's species. You can switch sides, because the STV is screwed.
Dude come on they have the Forth Storm, and come to think of you didn't ban any of the godly SW people. So they have that Sith Lord who can control life and death...so yeah. Palpatine's master.
Intelligence can only get you so far, when your dealing with superior technology, combined with massive supernatural abiltities.
