Yay! I just found Batman Arkham Asylum for £12!

That was a great game. Don't forget to KO every clown at the end of the game (you'll know when) or you'll miss out on an easy achievement/trophy. It happened to me and I couldn't go back because of the stupid autosave.

I can't wait for Arkham City. You might be able to do co-op with Catwoman in it.

Nikku's thoughts/mini review;

Wow... this is a good game! I sort of predicted that I'd like it, cause 1) its Batman and 2) I've played and completed the demo a lot.

The demo was very different from the actual game. There was a long part where you walk through Arkham with the Joker and several guards in the full game, before you meet Jim Gordon, but that was ommited in the demo.

I only have a few gripes with the game; getting stuck and having to run to a walkthrough is a pain in the arse, trying to get 40 hits in a combo is impossible, Steve Blum voicing 97% of the incidental characters is annoying, and the last one is just a little nitpick, but Bats looks WAY too bulky. I mean, I know he's meant to be big and strong, but in this game, he's so ripped that he looks unrealistic at times.

Other than that, I like it! Its so much fun swooping down on criminals and scaring the shit outta them! I love exploring the island and seeing all the little shout outs to villains and events in the comics.

Also, special mentions to Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy and Arleen Sorkin who play Joker, Batman and Harley Quinn respectively; they give the most effort out of anyone in the game. Sadly though, Arkham City will be the last time Mark voices the joker (he stated this himself). Thats understandable though, you can hear throughout the game that the role is definitely putting a strain on his voice.

Also!! Yup, I know all about that trophy Son! Funny thing is, I thought that you would get that trophy after beating all the thugs that attack you in the beginning (just after the Joker breaks free)!

1) No it's not impossible. Once you play through the game on the hardest difficulty, you'll be able get a 40-hit combo eventually. Just look up on YouTube how to do it. It's hard and annoying at times, but not impossible.

2) Steve Blum does way too many voices in video games. I heard him doing multiple voices in Mass Effect 2, he does Super Joe's voice in Bionic Commando (PS3/360 game), and he plays the protagonist in Bulletstorm to mention a few. Don't get me wrong, he did a great job as Spike and Tom from Toonami, but his voice stands out too much and he doesn't seem to have much range in terms of sounding different.

3) I think they made Batman huge so it wouldn't look ridiculous to have him taking down those roid-ridden inmates, Bane, etc. His chin looks like a freaking concrete block, which I found to be very funny.
