My thoughts on the special:
Ok, I'll be honest, as someone who really, honestly, ultimately loved DB/Z his entire life, I'll say:

Its great! I liked it! I liked how it kept the point, message and personalities the same BUT the drawing(edginess, perspective, symmetry and shaders) is changed Sad

It's still great and they pretty much kept the same overall feel, but Sad

that's just not that exact good old edgy, rock-hard artstyle.
Its too gummy(too new-school-animeish), even though animation itself(framerate usage) is very good.
I expected it all since I realized that its going to look very similar to the Budokai 2/3 openings(though Budokai openings are better than this honestly) so I was prepared...

But all in all, I am very happy and satisfied! Wink

especially when I remember that this is just one short anniversary special and especially when I remember this nightmare that awaits us... Sad

I really love the intro they made. Im not sure, but I think its a tribute to the original DBZ intro (if I am right). You are right about the overall "feel" beign lost, but trust me we have seen worst...you know what I mean. Razz

Japaneese voice are a pain to me, however.

It's even funnier how fox makes a huge point that they could care less and would rather stick with the stereotypical pretty-boy hero.

Its funny buts I think everybody who watched any previous LAMs like SF and anyone who knows the sole target of the Hollywood, should have known from the beginning that they'd do something like this, though nobody expected THIS much mockery.

I enjoyed watching the special. The manga-ish background was pleasant to the eye.
It was also great to see all the characters again.

I finally got to watch the special last night. I loved it. Some of the characters looked off (Krillin lost all his muscles, lol) but overall it was everything Dragon Ball should be. Fun with a story engaging enough to keep your attention the whole way through...and let's not forget the great fights.

Well, he hasnt been fighting alot lately. Its perfectly normal to loose shape, since he is a just a human (not a saiyan/half-saiyan).

It is good to see this animation in the middle of all this chaos, but there are somethings: didn't they wished that everyone forgot about Majin Buu or just that fat Buu was evil so people could see him? Does this not only retcons DBGT but the end of DBZ in which they meet Uub and Pan is born? Why did Table married that thing? When they fused into fat Gotenks did they wait 30 minutes or got able to get rid of it fast?

Yeah it really confused the hell out of me when Goten and Trunks fused into Trunken Very Happy

and then just oh flup! separated just like that without waiting 30 minutes :S
But that doesn't bother me much, but it just confused me...
