I LOVE watchmen. I found the movie to be a great adaptation.
Although the music during the first scene with the Comedian being killed in his apartment felt waaaay too out of place. I know his TV was on, but still the music was a bit of a buzzkill.

the thing thats ill about it is that its not even about the plot, its about how the idea of superheroes and villains with ridiculous amounts of power, able to take over the world (if not for the heroes) goes from an idea to reality, and it took decades. good stuff.

although theyre ghey for not having the squid in there, some people said it was impossible, i just dont think so

I know, that's what I meant. And I don't think the squid missing will make any difference to me. I always found the squid disturbing.

seriously tho, watchmen is ufcked up (self censorship, not a typo), the comedian was a ufcked up character, even tho he was the most practical (as in his personality, not how realistic of a character he is). doc mani hani was ufcked up, he didnt give a isht about anybody but he could easily have saved everybody with a thought. ozymandias was ufcked up, i wont spoil it for others but u already know why, a great and villainous hero...? rorchachs whole existence was ufcked up.

the most ufcked up part about it is that its not really about any of them, its about people, and people are so ufcked that it ufcks up all the heroes that arent already ufcked up.

i read an interview or a note from the author or sumthin like that n he said sumthin like you dont give people what they want, they dont know what they want. i think part of what hes saying is that he made it so ufcked up because thats the only way it could be, it would be plain fantasy if it was all peaches and cream, rainbows and unicorns, it wouldnt be a "real" story (real for the sake of my argument) if there was nothing disturbing about it.

Oh please. You want fucked up go watch Neon Genesis Evangelion. The guy that made that was in clinical depression. Watchmen was about morals, about reasons to fight, and most importantly, about choices. Rorschach fate was the best example of that.

the only cheesy thing in the film. it sucks cause the action in that scene was great but they had that damn music playing....WHY COULDN'T THE TV BEEN SMASHED IN THE BEGINNING OF THE FIGHT? It pissed me off!

This is why Buffy got my respect. Angel and Buffy never ended up together. Not even Spyke and Buffy. It was epic win in my view.

the twilight books were ok to me. Well alright I LOVED them at first, but after i realized what a freakin trend it was I grew to like it less and less and now I really don't care for it at all. the movie's effects were...dare I say it? equal to that of DBE...and it was pretty cheesy, but NOWHERE near as bad as DBE
