How do you have a lucid dream?

I WANT ONE.

You know; the dreams where you are aware you're dreaming and can control it and stuff? I want one of those. I've tried and tried and tried, but to no avail. One time, I was having a weird and boring dream and I remember starting to tell myself that I was dreaming, but I still couldn't control it for some reason...

Dream manipulation requires you to be very tired and long time. Basically this is what you do. What you want to dream about I watched a bunch of videos with half naked girls while eating junk-food and drinking beer than stayed up to 4 am and layed down and feel asleep dreaming about that stuff and I could control it.

I once had a dream where I was in fourth grade and leaving to my vacation on a cruise ship to the Carribian and there was an earth-quake and than we get to the ship. Spongebob was there and become giant sized capsizing the boat and i realized it was a dream and teleported to a Strip club and met freiza and Cell.

i never had one but would be cool.

but yeah I'd love to have a lucid dream. In about half of my dreams where stuff goes wrong ad its basically just bad, I always think in the dream "this can't be happening, this must be a dream, please be a dream, wake up wake up!" but I don't wake up so I think that it's real. i think i do have a certain degree of control over my dreams, epically a few minutes before i wake up, but I don't ever realize it's a dream so I go along with everything.

But I must agree, you can have a lucid dream if you use that method.
So Jess all you have to do is to eat a lot of junk-food and drink some equivalent to that food while you try staying awake up to 4 am reading some yaoi, or whatever floats your boat. Go for it.
I had a lot of nightmares as a kid and whenever something would be especially scary I would realize that that had to be a dream and I would wake up. I was still a kid when I managed to realize that I'm dreaming without waking. I was skating at a parking lot in front of my building and at some point I was approaching a bump and a hole. And I just remember thinking:"Oh, this must be a dream, nothing can hurt me." So I was at ease but I still haven't had a complete control over my actions.
Later on I managed to do that too, but such dreams often end quickly.
Like Viral said- your mind has to be strong too.

I did once have a dream tat there were a hundred rock lee's walking around and a few of them asked me out...that was a great dream : D

Anyone ever have a dream where you die and the dream continues after your "death" and you don't immediately wake up? That only happened once to me, me and my dad were spies and I had to die for some important purpose, and I was walking around my house as a ghost, and I was all "oh, this isn't so bad! Hell yeah, now I get to exist forever without growing up and nothing can hurt me! this is awesome!" and mom was there and she just didn't know what to think. after a few minutes on debating if she should be sad I'm dead or happy that at least my ghost will still be around, she just kinda shrugged and had a "meh" kinda reaction and went on like nothing ever happened and starts doing the dishes. and I just kinda happily danced around. weird dream

nah I liked that dream. it was kinda sad at first, though. my dad was basically half my dad and half old solid snake from MGS$ for some reason

we were getting some info to save the world and I let the enemy capture me so dad could escape with the info. I was totally ok with dying, when out of nowhere, I started freaking out and crying, begging to see momiji one last time (from the manga/anime fruits basket. what the hell was he doing in that dream?)
my wish wasn't granted and they killed me anyway, and next thing I knew I was back at my house as a ghost, celebrating. and I was in my pink hello kitty pajamas throughout the whole thing O_O

Omg when jess said that bout chu watchin freeza n cell strip i almost died laughing... I think u gotta know wat u want in lucid dreams, like have a drive 4 it. Like one time i saw my mom get eaten by a t rex n i got so mad i whacked him in the head wit a huge wrench. And one time i was jumpin around trees like crouchin tiger hidden dragon. : D

I had a dream that I was at dennys or something and hannah montana was supposed to preform and I was all pissed because i didn't know beforehand and I really didn't want to be there when she sang, and she ended up ODing on drugs in a backroom

O_O i had a dream once that i had to go throught this really hard waterish type obsticle course in church.. with mary from school who doesnt even believe in god...

I had a similar one where it was an obstacle course at the mall and there was a part where you were stuck in a tunnel filled with water for two minutes before an escape opened

thats like a show i once saw fear factor.. sounds aweomse.

lol I remember something like that on there now that I think about it...
no it was scary as hell I hate being under water!
I had another where there was this kickass rollercoaster at koneboles that we rode and loves, then we went to get food and when we came back to ride it again it was gone and all the employees denied it ever existed. I forgot about that dream until now
