2 lackluster X-Men games reviewed.
X-Men Origins Wolverine;
Meh, an extremely average action adventure game. Quite difficulty in some places, but nothing undoable like the next game we discuss below. Sections are extremely long and drawn out. There’s a nice RPG system. Lunges in this games are mini games to get to high areas. You can lunge to some bosses some times, but that does nothing other than to give the boss an unfair free hit every single time. Lame. The frame rate of this game is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Ah well, at least it’s better than...
X-Men the Official Turd... oops I meant game;
I’m just gonna go right ahead and say it; this game is the biggest piece of ass I’ve played in a long long time. The cutscenes are still images with voice overs, the graphics could’ve been a lot better and now the gameplay. It sucks, it sucks so much that I lost 12% of my brain cells playing it. Wolverine attacks so slowly and there’s this really early level; you have to fight a LARGE number of enemies (must’ve been about 50+) and they all take several hits to kill. Whats worse is they can block any of your attacks and get this – they damage you whilst they stand still! So you can’t approach them or you lose loads of your health, but you need to approach them to be able to reach and kill them. This game makes no sense!! Whats worse is that you have to replay a large section before you get to the damn fight. I switched to the easy difficulty but did that make a difference? Did it shite. I hate this f**king game.
Don’t buy it, don’t even rent it. Let it rot. Zero out of ten and that’s being nice. I HATE HARD GAMES.
So yeah, I didn't have fun with these. I don't even have the motivation to finish them. Stick with the good X-Men games people. I'm talking about;
- X-Men Mutant Academy 2 (PSOne)
- X-Men Legends 2 (PS2)
- X-Men 2 Wolverine's Revenge (PS2)
- X-Men Origins Wolverine (PS3)
Or... whatever system you have that those last three games are on!
