When you think about it, why would Superman and Goku ever fight?

They wouldn't they'd team up to fight Freiza & Lex Luthor.

Yeah Imagine if Superman and Goku put on the potara earings or did the fusion dance.

Benefits would be:
Supermans powers would remain intact, while the ability to use ki will probably enhance his strength and speed,
Would posses saiyan DNA making it so that the more he fights the stronger he gets
Would blow all Chuck Norris jokes away as the sheer awesomeness would overwhelm him

Unknown:
Krypton Saiyan blood mix, would it make the being stronger or weaker, and how would it react during the full moon if Goku somehow had his tail back (remember GT is not canon) could lead to anything...

But they might fight, if Goku got bored and asked Superman for a friendly spar, those kinds of events are not unheard of, and on fanfiction.net theres a story (can't recall the author of it) where Goku is brought into Superman's dimension to fight him in a charity event run by Lex Luthor (who happens to have the ulterior motive of humiliating Super Man), both of them are nice enough guys to do that I think...

But then under such events they would be bound by certain rules which could make fights go anyway and therefore it is unclear who would win. They would be limited with dealing non lethal blows, which can be tricky when two super humans duke it out...

The thing I love most about this comic is that its got a funny, unexpected and true ending! Thats what would really happen! That final panel never fails to make me giggle, or smile.
