I know I am also late with this thread and that many have noticed it.

The title of this movie is Dragonball, not Dragon Ball; just a word not 2. Lol my guess is that they will use this excuse just to justify all of this by saying it is their original work and rip off many people.

Even if it is just D and not DB, Toei and Toriyama should sue because Fox's Dragon Ball is similar to their DB. After all, maybe that is why Toei says Fox does not have the rights on DB.

Yet, sickies with an "open mind" consider this to be DB, not the D that it is.

I thought about that long ago Tlaloc, and many times mentioned it on youtube comments and such.
I totally agree, its probably cause of the "rights" which they never got...
Its an old dirty trick but it unfortunately succeeded so many times in a film and gaming industry...
I am somehow pretty sure they never got the rights...

I said it many times and will always say it - I just hope and pray our Toriyama sama sue them for all this...otherwise I'll lost any hope in humanity(though I already lost it long time ago...)

Guess that's something we'll have to face, so its left to us to keep doing what we're doing and to wait and see...
