New Mortal Kombat Movie

If we dont deal with this Shang Tsung fellow now, soon little uh, Jax here wont be able to get a nickel for his grandma.



I'm not sure if they're trying to make a movie or if it's a sales pitch for a new game or what...I know that Warner Bros bought the franchise from Midway so who knows what this is all about.

Well, it looks like it would be a awesome movie. I can here a lot of MK fans now though complaining... again... about Johny Cage being dead.

lol, Johnny Cage is and has always been lame. Did you pause it and see what Sub Zero looks like?

This is a different approach to this whole franchise, it looks like they got rid of the mysticism.
I don't expect much from it, but we'll see...we still don't know what this is.

Man though I hop they do go though with this.

I know their going for a realistic feel, but I'm wondering, will it full or semi realistic. After all, what's they going to do about the MK characters powers, unless they make some kind of weapons for it. However, maybe they will keep the powers in. After all, they showed Scorpion eyes turn white, then the scene fades to black. And plus what Scorpion said "what you don't realize is I could have my freedom back anytime" or something along those lines.

Or will they remove the powers all together?

Either way, if this is pushed forward to become a big screen film, I'll be seeing it.

(Fyi: I'm no huge MK fans, I've played 3 games (MK4 - N64, Deception - PS2, Shaolin Monks - PS2) Only 1 of which I yet to actually finish (MK4). And I own both the old movies. But it's enough to understand some basics like Lu and Scorpion has fire ability's, Sub Zero is ice, Raiden is lightning, etc.)

Wow... well, I'm not quite sure how to feel about this one.

The changes to the games are major. I actually like the more fantasy theme the games have over this. This looks like another "dark, gritty, realistic, crime drama" and they just don't interest me.

Don't get me wrong though, there were a few cool bits like Scorpion's eyes and the way Jax had taken off the "on" in his name (on his door) to make it Jacks.

And this trailer loses major points for killing Johnny Cage. He's my favorite MK character!!

Johnny Cage is a weak ass, I could flawless victory him on any game with Lu Kang or Sub Zero.
