Goku's VA, Sean Schemmel, was all for Americanising and kiddyfying DBZ. He thought the liberties that FUNi took were great, since kids need to be protected from violent television and they won't understand Japanese culture. That's also why he now works mainly for 4Kids.

I wouldn't be surprised if he likes Evolution too.

^i guess this was a while ago, so y'kno, all his opinions cant be voiced here. he doesnt mention anything about how everything got changed and whatnot, but from the way hes talkin about it i doubt he likes or is gonna like evolution

and about it being kiddyfied, i never really saw it that way. it was just censored, they took out the blood and cursing and of course the way some of the scenes were interpreted were different, but thats something that also goes into translation, most of the time in animes there arent good translations and a lot of it is cultural like references and figures of speech and whatnot that we wouldnt understand in america anyway

Even though I really think he should not ever say that "anybody who wanna produce something, I wanna support it" cause if somebody like Hollywood produces things that are Japanese masterpieces it turns out like THIS...as simple as that...
