You assume this isn't going to be good

Seriously, while we all agree that DBE was fail, I for one see nothing wrong with the Avatar movie so far. We have very little to go on and the trailers haven't shown anything really wrong

Heck even the Iceberg Aang was in was perfectly done. Little details that those who watched the series know spring up at you and you see that this isn't so bad

Also, neobeetle, while it's true claiming it's a ripoff was a bad move, it's true that racebending is seriously going about this all wrong.

And, furthermore, the entire asian actor fits Goku never flew with me. Anyone that can nail the part is alright...Chatwin was obviously not capable (lol at me even stating it...it's to obvious)

You're so right they'll never know! This shows that accepting stereotypes and whitewashing is the norm of hollywood.

Obviously this is only going up to the end of book 1 (Norther Water Tribe fight)

However, I did see someone that may be Toph, so they're probably introducing her earlier. No real complaints

As for the arrow...it's there but I do think a better job could have been done to highlight it. It's much to "blend in" with the skin and doesn't stand out, and it should

To clear up a few things.

Toph is not in this film at all. They never did casting for her and either way she will most likely be white or end up as an Asian cameo like Suki.

Oh and if you knew the stuff I know, then you know it's not just the Racebending they screwed up. They screwed up A LOT of stuff just about the show itself. There are some superficial things in there but many of the characters are not only true to them self's....but they also have really bad acting to them.

Early screenings. ARG! The pain!

I certainly hope so. It's looking to be quite close to the plot. I can identify almost all the major plot points from the series in the trailer alone. Good adaptations need to survive.

Other than that being speculative, the fact that you're clearly representing a channel that called our protest insane and a failure and the fact that if you knew a thing about Avatar, you'd realize that Toph doesn't show up until Book 2 and this film is about Book 1...

If you read my post, I said that Toph is not in the film because the film is (badly) based on Book One instead of Book Two. You need to learn how to read.
SPAM:
Spoiler:
Also, nobody said that the protest failed or was insane. What was said is that the protest could have gone better if certain DBE protesters were not yelling at each other, calling people's names, crying all the time and claiming that protesters have ripped off their movement because obviously nobody has ever done a boycott on YouTube before DBE and the DBE protesters have a copy wright for boycotting YouTube videos.

Ergo:

There is also no speculations because Jeff Palmer has no relations to anyone who actually worked on the show nor does he have the show bible, have seen a test screening of the film or have read any of the script leaks...unlike us.

Lastly, if you want to be specific, you could say that DBE actually follows overall the major plot points form the original Dragon Ball. So also did Batman & Robin and Terminator 3. Does not make them good movies or faithful adaptions at all.

Yes, they made all the villains brown people. So now it's a bunch of white saviors fighting the evil and genocidal brown fire nation and the only good brown characters turn good due to the white saviors showing them the light and the Asians (and Inuits and black people) are simply window dressing.

Huge improvement my ass. -,-;

Never mind that here is something you may have not heard: Did you know that the auditions were rigged? They already had the main actors they wanted under contract by the time they began the casting call. Did you also know that the kid had to be put through acting lessons because he has never acted in his life and that compared to the other cast he was inferior?

Did you also know that the majority of the martial arts you see (including everything you see in the teaser trailers) is actually being done by his Stunt Double who is a woman and Asian. AND that they are going to face replace her with Noah's face with CGI in the final product?

So he barely gets to do martial arts, is a bad at acting and according to early test screenings he was one of the worst actors next to Peltz and Rathbone.

So as you can see, they chose the "best actors" for the film. Once again, my ass! alien

You really do think the majority of America do not see past skin color? Have you been around this country? Stop acting like racism is dead, it's not!

Also, that's not my opinion and stop twisting thing around. The people who had saw this film were not in league with us or had no idea that there was even a film coming out until they saw it, saw it was crap and then posted the reviews online at normal movie review sites.

What drives me crazy about this issue is that all the points you are bringing up about opinions and movie reviews are the SAME EXACT STATEMENTS PRO-DBE PEOPLE WERE SAYING TO THE DBE PROTEST!

Also, in regards to your perceived notion of the race issues, one more step out of line in that direction and I ban your behind! I do not take kindly to people accusing others of racism without reason. - There weren't any accusations.

No, because see, if you weren't just self righteous person, you'd be able to see that the changes made to this movie are so far MINIMAL!
All those changes you claim...PRESENT THEM!! LINKS TO RELIABLE SOURCES AND NOT TWO BIT SITES LIKE LIVEANIME!

Sorry for double post

This video is basically what the average guy that walks into that "war" would think. DBE protest bashing the shit out of Stormsink
Going further into that, you'll see that:
1. Not once did they start shit, always a response (at least as far as I know, may be wrong)
2. JINX said MANY MANY times and highlighted that he NEVER once called out Stormsink's statues as DB fan
3. Stormsink, was kinda of a dick, but then again, so was everyone on our side on this matter

Point is, the entire thing with Stormsink was stupidity, and one many of the videos, I state that JINX was acting like a douche for using the protest for his personal war with stormsink. Just plain stupid
Then again, there's that video that Stormsink made about getting depressed or some shit and quitting youtube. That was the definition of pity videos

And, finally, I have calmed down now (thanks to Justin's awesome fanfic), so I'll say this:

Both of you, Krillinfan AND Sidepocket, and me also with the previous post...we are derailing this thread into hate and slander and a basic "ME VS YOU MY OPINIONS > YOUR OPINIONS" thread, which is isn't.
I was at fault here, but I will not delete my comment, because that would just being scared of taking the consequences of what I wrote when letting my anger take the better of me.

FINAL POINT

Keep on topic, which is not the Racebending protest thing, but the AVATAR LAM!!
Second, enough with the hate
Third. I still want those sources because I am generally interested in if their true

I have to confess, that I am not an A:TLA (to not confuse it with James Cameron's Avatar) fan; so sadly I don't have the passion you guys have for the series. But of course recognize that I don't like the way Aang's movie is going.

I am of those that in DB and Avatar, being planets different to ours, there is some racial "ambuguity" and they don't see it as in the real world.

However, the SNK universe is more similar to our reality; and yet there is almost no rage that Kyo and Mai aren't being portrayed by actual japanese actors.
