Okay, here's the story; Over the past few months, my step mother has been adamant about me taking care of some guy. I have to take him places he wants to go and stuff. Thing is, I don't want to. So now she's told the guy (who I don't even know the name of by the way) that I'm extatic about it (even though I'm clearly not) and now he's sent me an e-mail that says "I hear you're going to be my assissant" and "What do you like?" and crap like that.

What do I do? I really don't want to be involved in this.

I know, I'm very angry about this. But this family ALWAYS does it!
Do you ever get the feeling you're adopted? I get that feeling all the time. Literally all the time. I'm so different from all of them. I'm the only one who doesn't drink and go for nights out, etc.

I never get that feeling, I'm exactly like my family. Well, at least my dad and brother jimmy. We're all a bunch of random crazies. I'm more nice like my mom though. but she's a neat freak and I'm not.

The one thing that annoys me is that she doesn't always ask my permission before doing some things. like, I was hanging out with my ex back when we were dating, and mom goes and invites him to my niece gwen's birthday party the next day "so I have someone to hang out with". I thought it was a terrible idea, he never met gwen before, we had just spent 10 hours together that day so I kinda wanted a break from him, and I was looking forward to playing with gwen at her party! But He really wanted to come just so he could be with me and I didn't have the heart to say I didn't want him there, but I was really ticked off, and it was awkward as hell having him there

Nikku is this guy sum stranger or a friend of the family? Your stepmom must be doin this cuz she gets somethin outta it...money perhaps? If shes not listening, u should poly tell him yourself that it was all a big misunderstanding n youre sorry if its an inconvenience. (i just have no idea wats going on...)

I think they want me to do it as a weird job. I don't want to, but no; I don't get a say in the matter. Like always. It's always been like this.

And to think I was the only one with a terrible family. I feel for you Nikku. And something happened to me and my family this past Sunday. I will do a thread on it.

Do the tasks you are given and you receive respect. Do it without question and you receive more respect. Doesn't matter who you are. That's how families roll.

I understand your pain, I had to deal with it too before I learned that simple fact.

nikku, how old are you, do u live with ur parents, what are you getting out of this? what are they getting out of this? who is this person? is there any conceivable reason at all that its fair that ur doing this? or at least that u should be doing this?
