This thread is pretty much dead, but I created an account to respond anyways. PS if you haven't watched Gurren Lagann I highly recommend it before spoiler city.
TL;DR solar power vs character emotion; character emotion wins.

We could go by way of physics, and saying that a Tengen Toppa fight is impossible because it requiredSuper Spiral Space. All of the Tengen Toppa mechs in the lagann-hen edited scene require Super Spiral Space, too. And the final fight in the vanilla show with the tengen toppa antispirals disregarded relativity. Let's try it anyways.
Superman has survived supernovas, and could destroy the earth if he were powered up by the sun. It's from specifically yellow or blue suns, though, for some reason. Crazy writers. Let's assume he were that powerful. Ok. There. Yep. Powering up. Dramatic music. There we go. I'm using this video for base units, btw. It's called "DEATH BATTLE! - Goku VS Superman"
The multiplications in this video seem pretty solid.
The Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann punches, in Super Spiral Space, faster than light speed. When fighting the Antispirals, the drills, which are on a galactic scale, cracked. There is no hardness scale for something that rigid. Diamond would bend on that scale. This is seen in "diamond planets". And that's not near galactic.
Near the end of my main source, superman's largest strength output, how much he could bench press, is at 6.6 x 10^18 metric (I'm assuming) tons. For comparison, the sun, Sol's, mass is 1 989 100 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 tons, or 1.9891 x 10^27 tons. The Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, being, let's say, as large as the Milky Way Galaxy, which is a bigger than average galaxy, would barely notice his influence. Superman's power source is stars, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann's power source is...character? Plot development?
The Gurren Lagann with jets wouldn't stand a chance. Vanilla Gurren Lagann was almost torn apart by Arc-Gurren when Tumult was piloting it. I think the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren vs Superman would make a more interesting fight. Since it can still warp space without super spiral space, using only punches and spirit. Plus more lives would be at stake. A whole bridge crew and engineering teams. Maybe the Antispirals could trick Superman into attacking them with the "Spiral Nemesis" speech in some extradimensional labyrinth outcome where they attack the antispirals in the same way, but without super spiral space.
