I can only really comment on the HU versions, in which case both has very deadly ability's.
I'm going to say that if they was ready, the Espada has a better chance. If they wasn't ready, there fate would probably turn out like Samuels group and SXM's.

Well HU Versions I dunno... both are pretty powerful. Anyway in HU, we won the battles easier when we had lower levels of power.
HU Akatsuki would probably win.
Espada in anime form own Akatsuki. Barragan has his respira to pwn Akatsuki and Time Dialation field.

You know why Starkk was the Primera? Cause of his style. Barrgan hates long range, so pit him against long range fights, and of course you have a bad combination
