Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (Game)

Okay, so Ubisoft is making a new Prince of Persia game.

Who here played the latest Prince of Persia (the one released last year with the cel-shaded graphics, Elika, etc)? You liked it? Ready for a sequel to see what happened after that cliffhanger ending?

Well guess what? It's not happening...yet anyway. Instead Ubisoft is making another game based off the Sands of Time. Here's what they didn't confirm - is it going to be based on the Disney movie or the actual Sands of Time trilogy?

Now, I'm not saying I dislike the movie as it has Jordan Mechner (PoP's creator) working on it as a producer I think, but either way. I liked the Sands of Time game, but wasn't a fan of the darker two sequels (which Mechner happened to not work on). The general atmosphere just didn't appeal to me and they made a pretty sound conclusion at the end of the third game.

So here's what I think - I think the game is going to be based on the movie with the actors' likenesses in it, due to the fact Ubisoft just announced it and said it's being released at the same time as the movie. I really hope it's not true, though. What do you think?

That PS3 Prince of Persia was bought for me last Christmas (I didn't really want it at all). It was okay I guess, but I never felt like I was in full control of the Prince. And that Combo Specialist trophy... I fulfilled every requirement for it, but I still didn't get the trophy. The only things I liked about the game were the two voice actors Nolan North and Kari Whalgren.
