I guess you never know but man, IMO chances are 99% that this is going to be another DBE all over again, poor Bleach fans, but lets wait for pictures or trailer or at least some info.
If they mess it up I am the first one in line to sign the petition and help Bleach fans, of course.

Yes, I'm waiting for a trailer to. If it looks passable (possible... unlikely, but hey, it's possible), then I'll give it a change. If it looks like cheap, then I'm with ya Vegeta.

As I've already said, it's WB and not FOX, so that's one step in the right direction at least.

WB is better than Fox, so I think we at least need to give them the benefit of the doubt

Ichigo will be played by some unknown emo punk who will "try to inject a little of himself" into the character! I hope we can get James Wong to direct... A film isn't complete unless he's directed it.

Ichigo is in school though in the series... But ya, I know what you mean, they'll show way to much "normal" life, not enough soul reaper life and just screw up the whole thing...

The Good:

It's WB, who has been known for making quality movies (and buying out some quality game developers) as of late.

It's not FOX, whose only good movie since probably Fight Club is Avatar.

James Wong and Ben Ramsey have nothing to do with it.

The Bad:

It's an American movie company making something that is based on something that is very based on Japanese culture. If Ichigo becomes an American high school student named Brad, that's a good indication this is going in the wrong direction. Actually, if this movie isn't based in Japan period, this movie is going in the wrong direction. Remember how stupid it was to see a Canadian 25-year-old Caucasian high school student go by the name of Goku?


Odd factor: Tite Kubo recently said he would never want or allow Bleach to be made into a Live Action movie because he made it so ridiculous and set it in a ridiculous world that just wouldn't work in live action, now this is happening. Then again, Akira Toriyama said the exact same thing in one of the Dragon Ball volumes.

Another thing that wouldn't work is that high school movies are very polarizing, well the American ones anyway. However, with Japanese manga that doesn't focus too much on it, stories like Bleach and Code Geass appeal to me even though I'm in my 20s because they don't put a strong focus on the high school aspect like American movies do, plus the characters don't look or always act like high school students for the most part anyway.

Overall, I think this is a bad idea...a very bad idea.

I also believe Bleach would be hard to transfer; specially with these sudden things.

Among the problems is that while Dragon Ball doesn't take place in "our Earth," Bleach does. I believe that most of the Bleach cast should be played by japanese actors, but Ichigo and Orihime don't look like they should be played by japanese actors.

It should be mostly a japanese production, with japanese language but we know US audiences are lazy to read subtitles and won't bother.

I keep wondering of the afterlife in Bleach. Only japanese people go to Soul Society when they die? Because Chad's grandfather has not been seen there. But he is mexican, so there are different afterlives to other regions of the world? And Rangiku doesn't look much japanese either.

I thought Ichigo and Orihime were Japanese, just that they had white skin like the DOA girl in Nikku's avatar.

I know, Johnny Yong Bosch should play Ichigo, lol.
