Which is your favorite Pokemon starter set?

Personally, my list from favorite to least-liked is Generation 1, then 4, then 2, then 3, then 5.
I really am not digging Generation 5's starters, especially after the awesomeness that was the Pokemon version of Son Wukong the Monkey King, Chimchar, Monferno, and Infernape. Infernape is definitely my new favorite alongside Charizard.
If I had to choose one of the starters from Generation 5, for once it'd be the grass type. I wonder if the fire-pig will evolve into a Ganon lookalike.

2,1,4,3 Can you post a pic of the 5th generation? Man I want to start playing Pokemon again. Anyways I hope they make a game where you're Ash or Red and you play through all of Ash's current Adventure's with Pikachu as the starter Pokemon

Gen 1 is definitely my favorite! Charmander is my favorite Pokemon! I also have an extreme fondness for Bulbasaur and Squirtle. I also liked Gen 2's starters, Chikorita is awesome!
In my order, I guess it would be;
Gen 1
Gen 2
Gen 4
Gen 3
Gen 5
I'm totally not digging those Gen 5 starters. What the heck happened there? I like the look of the dark wolf like-one (is that a starter as well, is it 4 starters this time?), but the others don't do a thing for me...

For me pokemon was fun only to the second generation... both game and anime!! The anime become to repetitive and childish (even more than the usual) and to play the third generation i would need to buy a new gameboy....lol... no way i would do that!! I bought the gameboy color exclusively to play pokemon, and those guys started to make pokemon games only to the gameboy advanced?? what a joke

Don't feel bad about skipping out on the GBA Pokemon game. I thought it was easily the worst of the bunch.
It's been many years since I've played anything Pokemon related, so I'm having fun so far, but I'm not taking things too seriously or technically as I did the first and I'm not really concerned with catching 'em all like I was before.
Unfortunately, those are the real deal. IGN wouldn't post something fake like that.
