Wow PSP... just wow...

My stupid PSP has been acting up recently; the battery pack case doesn't go on properly anymore, there's always a bit popping up at a corner. Now, the PSP randomly turns itself off whenever it wants and even the slightest tap to the system will cause it to turn off. What the hell Sony? Why don't you proof test these things?? We pay you good money and for what? Shit. Disguised shit thats what it is. I've just lost TONS of progress on Bleach Heat the Soul thanks to this problem.

I've not even had the damn thing for three years either... And it just sort of "happened" to be broken one day. I treated it with care and never did anything bad to it. Now its completely f**ked. And I refuse to give Sony another penny for this. I'm definitely not shelling out for another PSP. The first one cost me a fortune. My friend's X button has recently become completely lose too. What the hell?

Can anyone give any tips on how to fix/mend it? And don't post stuff like "I dunno" please, I really want the PSP fixed and working properly. I'll try and get it down to a local games/electronic entertainment.

This is especially frustrating as I've got Heat the Soul 2 arriving in a few days. And whats the point in a new game if the system won't even stay on?

Again, this exact same thing is happened with me years ago. The battery pack on mine doesn't fit either. It's probably a combination of being old and dropped a lot (I dropped mine a lot of times as well).

I didn't bother having anything done on mine since I only used it for Tony Hawk's Underground 2, GTA Liberty City Stories, and God of War: Chains of Olympus. I don't take mine out anyway, so when I play it, I just plug it in to the wall.

As for you, just do what LOL said and see if all you need is a new battery pack. Or just call the Sony hotline and see what they have to say.

So I went to get the PSP looked at and the guys in the shop said that the battery had swolen. So I bought a new one from Amazon and it arrived today.

The covering STILL doesn't go on.

Geez, I might as well've just given the Amazon seller my cash. AND there's a crack in the new battery which he didn't mention.
