News on Bakugan, Battle Angel Alita, Journey to the West, Hollywood's version of Death Note, And Space Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers)

Only one I know is Death Note.

They already effed up Journey to the West here with that Forbidden Kingdom movie. Justin, if you haven't heard of Journey to the West, it's the story Dragon Ball, especially the first arc, is based on.

It's also where they got the Fire Pokemon starters from in Gens. IV and V.

Oolong and Emboar = Zhu Bajie.

Now let m read.....WHAT!? JOURNEY TO THE WEST!!! Oh come one man (( I didn't watch Forbidden Kingdom, but at least it has its OWN BLOODY TITLE! I hope that Chinese producer will insist on faithfulness since Journey To The West is Chinese traditional novel anyways, but I don't like the sound of it.

And I can't believe they got their hands on Bakugan already? they just search popular titles, its obvious technique of theirs - exploit the name as much as you can, ruin, destroy and move on

Battle Angel Alta, my friend is a big fan of it...I already see a very famous actress with 2 guns, not having to do anything with androids, robots or actually anything from manga, just going around and being a "cool girl with guns"...I hope I am wrong.

Space Battleship Yamato looks so much like Starzinger!

But I am pissed for any anime or manga that they unfaithfully adapt to live action, even for those I never watched.

FAITHFULNESS is 1# thing when it comes to adaptation darn it! What's the point of using the same title otherwise!

I really don't even know what to expect, I just hope its not nearly as bad as DBE or Legend of Chun Li :S

Oh! I forgot about Death Note! Why making it when there is a Japanese movie that looked pretty faithful(at least visually I still didn't watch it)!?
I hope they either stop or don't totally ruin it...I already feel sorry for the fans before I even saw anything of it

An Americanized Death Note is a really really bad/worthless idea. There's already live action Japanese Death Note films, there's no need for Americanized version!

Keep in mind, Battle Angel Alita is being directed by James Cameron who is a HUGE fan of anime and manga, plus pretty much he's given free reign to do whatever the fuck he wants now a days, after the success of Avatar, and even previously titanic

I know nothing about the others. But I got my faith in Cameron

An aMerican Death Note film will be so cool! I hope it's made, hollywood can take it easy with th at film actually.
