List of all the franchises that Fox raped/will rape

This is the topic where we list all the anime, cartoon and game franchises that are experiencing the same fate as our DB, as well as those who have already experienced it, OR BOTH(Street fighter, X-Man etc...)...
So please list every one that you know and we will collect it all and make one big list which will be placed in our eventual upcoming global petition which will be called something like Stop the anime, cartoon and game exploitation!!!

And please if you know, then it would be great if you could mention the company that made that movie.

hey! I want a release of that Yattaman movie...its the anime to live action movie conversion I found that looks like its being done off the anime! plus Takeshi Miike is good with comedy/action movies too! even though it kinda strays from his main directing style of gory movies

Kung Fu Dunk sucks ass imo and Speed Racer was actually alot like its 1950 counterpart, lighthearted movie like a saturday morning cartoon...its probably why older people didnt like it much...IT WAS MADE FOR KIDS!

Hellboy 2 was awesome also, I found it actually better than Dark Knight...Same with The Incredible Hulk...Ironman was good too and Hancock wasnt as bad as most people portrayed it (its real funny)

and no I for one would like a Live action or CG version of my favourite mangas/anime because it shows that theyve survived long enough in time....All I want is a faithful adaptation that at the same time appeals to its original fans....Is it that hard to ask?

I'm not familiar with some of the names on the list, like Yatterman. But I have no desire to see the movie versions of those works that I recognize.
The least I need is for those lame studios to "immortalize" works I like in the movie screen. I know what I like and when I talk to other fans it is clear that that work survived all this time. Those studios (in most of the cases)just take something that has a cult status and say:"Ok, this will bring us the money." And what do you get in return in most of the cases?
"-Faithful adaptation that at the same time appeals to its original fans."
Ain't gonna happen my friend.
If I experience something as a comic, anime, book, video game...then I don't have the need to see it as a movie. You may say:"I want to see it from a different perspective." And I can understand that. But in most of the cases you will be disappointed. You will not feel the same thing you feel when you read, watch, or play that manga/anime/book/video game...but that is not always bad. Yes I agree. But the problem is that the most of these movies are done by ppl that have limited knowledge about that work you like, and let's not talk about their lack of creativity. Their goal is to profit from it all and they care little about the fans.

And even though it exists there are a chances that we're gonna make a new one cause that one don't include our poor games that are raped most of the times

Street Fighter was by Universal Studios and Capcom Entertainment.
Resident Evil is from the Resident Evil company and Sony.

BTW, you forgot Fox's other screw-ups Fantastic 4 (both of the two) and Daredevil.

i personally do like to see my favorite series's translated into a different form of entertainment (like game to movie n vice versa), i think most people do, as long as its a true translation of the series. the problem is that its rare that the translation stays true to the original piece of work.

its a wonder really. if a creator of a series that isnt that popular or maybe even a little bit popular displays the work in a different form theres a chance that it would gain more popularity, and fans are amazing, the work that fans do is usually for the love of the material, and therefore great work. whether it be artwork, short stories or anything else (apparently someones actually trying to release db af, no fOoLiN) fans usually deliver pretty well.

and if that creator releases that work in a different form, he/she becomes more popular as a result and their later endeavors may be better received. it's seriously impossible to understand why you would destroy or sell out something you love, but we see it all the time. but in general if theres nothing changed about the work besides what form in which its displayed, for a fan at least, its nice to see.

all this also applies to the yatta yatta thread, but i thought it might be a little more relevant here.

I understand people who want to see a live action adaptation of some video game which IS BASED on the real look of humans and which is NOT stylized...then ok! that even pretty much makes sense...
but if somebody wanna translate something SO MUCH stylized as DBZ into LIVE ACTION where you clearly have ACTORS with THEIR OWN faces and bodies(even if its only the head thats live action, IT STILL KILLS the atmosphere so much) then that technically might mean that that somebody never respected DB/Z art-wise, but ONLY its story and NOTHING else.

And what is manga/anime without its atmosphere, feel and style??? its not itself anymore at all!...especially DBZ...

Its what I was saying so many times to people who want to see adaptations of comics/mangas/anime/games/whatever but are not understanding those who protest it... - if you wanna see something new, for Kamis sake - THEN GO SEE IT!!! go in the store or on youtube you have so many other franchises WATCH THEM and there you have something "NEW" something "DIFFERENT" leave the already existing franchises alone...their value is forever lost if changed, so why doing it when you can see something really new and keep the good old things the way they are???

And finally a self quote that I usually tell to my friends:

You have one folder called "I am some franchise and if you change me by any aspect I won't be myself anymore" AND YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO CREATE A NEW FOLDER! WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU TAKE THAT ALREADY EXISTING FOLDER SCREW ITS CONTENT AND TURN IT INTO SOMETHING COMPLETELY ELSE AND MESS IT UP ALL SO BADLY WHEN YOU CAN CREATE A NEW DAMN FOLDER FOR ITSELF! same with franchises...Hollywood obviously don't have "new folder" option, but why would they use them when they NEEEED MOONEEEEYYY

^that makes sense, good example. but of course we're not gonna automatically accept what the characters look like, the point is to get the acting and characteristics of the characters right. its kinda like how they did the dark knight, maybe its not an exact adaptation of the comic book or the cartoon (which is already an adaptation but a form of the work that a lot of people may be more familiar with), but the way they made it, it was like that was what the world had to be, and what the characters had to be for batman and the joker to exist. its about an overall atmosphere which includes what the universe is and who the characters are that can make or break an adaptation

Just as I said, I can understand everything till the point of ruining something just in order to see something "new" and "different"...

of all those listed id have to say dark knight was awesome because of the joker and punisher was awesome too minus franks period of emoness and the spirit was also awesome it reminded me of sin city which was also awesome speed racer was good and l change the world was alright

that was the one where l lives to see light die right

edit i forgot hulk was on that list it was alright

^the dark knight was awesome for way more than just the joker, which i can explain if ne1 wants to debate me on that. i didnt see the spirit but it was produced (or sumthin like that) by the same guy who did 300 (frank miller) hes a comic writer and he wrote 300, he also did a batman comic and some other great stuff.

the hulk was awesome, ironman was awesome. wanted was good but i heard a lot was changed from the comic, so if whats his face wants to use that in his argument for dbe then itll be the only valid example of a movie for which the story has been changed ridiculously
