At first I loved the idea of having a DB film, but now after looking at the crapped choices and how the story will take place, I am totally against it!

This stays away from what Dragon Ball trully is, the story of a young boy named Goku, who never lets his innocence die despite he grows into a man! But no, they will just turn it into some teen drama like Smallville. Terrible, just terrible, I have plenty of ways to express my anger but not sure how to express them when I am in the screen!

Well here I go again.

Truth is that at first when I knew of the Dragon Ball movie back in 2002 I was thrilled. I was happy that finally we would get the satisfaction of seeing our favorite series on the big screen; after some ups and downs I finally got the downs when I found out what is the story about.

That is just not Dragon Ball.

In my mind, I have the script for a movie adapting all of Dragon Ball. Of course I also believe that DB comes before DBZ, (unlike some "fans" most of them from the US who believe DBZ came first and DB as a prequel) and that is why things should start with Goku as a little boy.

Not sure if I could tell how goes my script, as I fear someone could steal me ideas, but maybe in another thread I will place a way I would take to make the DB movie.

Anyway, I really dislike it that some people believe that DB would be stupid if they place little kids for Goku and Krillin, but that is how things go. Take Narnia for example, the actors for Lucy and Edmund were really young and they don't say the movie sucked.

Yes... I absolutely understand you, you are the one who like LAM idea, but you realized that this is SICK what they do to DB...
Don't worry buddy I respect anybody who is against THIS movie, and it's terrible actors and story...

But as for me, I always HATED the LAM idea, just because I ALWAYS knew that they'll do something like this(I mean that is Hollywood!!!) but to screw up THIS MUCH!? I NEVER expected...
Actually I hate the whole idea, even if Japanese would do live action, it would be the same story and all, but I wouldn't like it(ok but at least they wouldn't turn it into a stereotype and commercialize it to the biggest possible level as Fox will)...
Because I conseder that DB should always stay DB! I am the one who strongly support DB/Z/GT's Drawning style, and when that style changes just a little bit I am pissed off very much, so making a LIVE ACTION out of DB is pissing me off alone enough...So should I mention how THIS MOVIE FLAMES MY BRAIN!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping for the DB movies to be the next LOTR movies...
I just can't beleive you were so optimistic... First of all, Peter Jackson is a Tolkien fan himself... That's why he put great effort to make that thing [almost] perfect...
But DB... made by a fan....... We wish...

About Narnia... I agree, the adaptation is not bad... in general. Though truly, I'm not the fan of the original thing... [I mean books] so I can't be objective... [<because the fans are always bigger critics, and they see the flaws better...]

But in this case, concretely, I agree with Vegeta... I also don't want the movie at all! The only reason is - because it just CAN'T be PERFECT! DB is just NOT meant for movie... And not only because Hollywood makes it, of course... for a thousandth time, I really DO like some of their creations... but, I'm totally against any kind of exploataion and ruining good originals with bad adaptations... And again, for a thousandth time, there are exceptions of course [somebody mentioned LOTR again? ] But this is just not one of them... And hardly it could ever be...

I agree that color is an important just like everything else... But what is color without a good shape? - nothing for me!
I'll give you one example:

shape + color:

I'd give - 10000000000/10

shape + no color:

I'd give - 9999999999/10


No shape + color(not literally "no shape" ):

I'd give - huh???/10

So if they screw up Piccolo's look, he can have exact color like in anime but it will SUUUUUCKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
