Petition progress... :(

We are progressing TERRIBLY slow for now but I think I should announce the progres for every houndred for now...
I would like to thank you all for supporting this site and petition, and would like us to keep our little community stabile and friendly as it was from the start, even if its the protest-community.

Its sad that we're progresing very slow, but I'll keep doing my best at the promoting our petition and forum everywhere, and I'll keep searching for other methods of advertisement, and I hope I'll find some way to advertize our petition all over the net that are within my current power.

It is sad how our petition is going slow, while the one against Uwe Boll is doing well. Maybe it is true, there are no longer good DB fans.

Well maybe, but I still think the Uwe Boll is greately promoted everywhere, which requires enormous amount of financies, and unfortunately I can't afford to promote even a single advetrizement on some bigger site, but if I ever get in position that I can I will definitely!

Plus I am starting the video about DB LAM, our forum and petition, that I'll place on Youtube, I have some technical problems right now on the start, so I don't know when it will be finished, but when/if I finish I'll post it on the youtube.

I've been trying super hard to get more signatures. I think I got like 10 people to sign. Alas, we're gonna need a lot more signatures to really make a difference. I wonder if writing a letter to Entertainment Weekly (com-plaining about the movie, not promoting the site or petition) would help our efforts...

It's not so bad anymore. This was written in May when we only had a few hundred signatures. You could always try that letter to entertainment weekly, though.

AAAARRRGH! I WAS TYPING A LETTER AND IT WAS REALLY GOOD AND I WAS ALMOST DONE THEN THE COMPUTER RANDOMALLY TOOK ME TO ANOTHER PAGE! crap now I gotta re-type it...

*sign* allow me to try again...here's an example of a letter we coukd send:

Dear Entertainment Weekly,
Lately, there have been a lot of horrible live-action movie adaptations of cartoon shows. The hardest hit seems to be Japanese anime cartoons. They usually have very strong fan bases, and it hurts us all to see shows that we might have good childhood memories of watching being destroyed on the big screen. They did it to Speed Racer, and now they're doing it to a Japanese anime called "Dragon Ball". It was a pretty awesome show, and I used to watch it all the time with my big brothers from when I was about 4 until I was 10. I heard they were making a live-action film of dragon Ball, and I watched the trailer online...and it felt like a little part of me died. I discovered websites full of angry fans who felt the same way. Honestly, why on Earth do big movie companies insist on making these terrible movies out of shows that were really cool? All they are doing is trying to cash-in and make some money, they don't go to any effort to preserve the style, charm, nostalgia, ect. of the shows, and they totally screw up character designs and storylines don't even resemble the original. We all wish they would stop attempting to make live-action movies out of cartoons and anime. If they REALLY want to make a movie, they should do it right and make it animated or CG.

Jessica I think you are pretty good with this stuff! pretty great!
However the only thing I would change is the fact that we were excited once we heard they're making it(I mean I know some of you really did and I respect that even though I always hated the idea, but its kinda contradicting and it will cause the answer such as - "YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANTED!").

You know if we are consistent about this and really don't want our animes to go into hollywood live action versions then we should be 100% consistent about it as that's the only way for them to get our point.,

But this all is really great idea! really really great! and the rest of the text is perfect, thank you for your help Jessica

lol thanks ^_^ yeah I guess leaving out that part about being excited would be best.

Edit: I fixed that part of the letter. Now it is better!
