If Cell was truely "perfect"...

Does that mean he was the smartest... being in the world? If not, there is no way he could have been perfect.

It had genes from some pretty intelligent people and it wasn't perfect it just had a large amount of power at it's time

I think he says he's perfect because his fighting form is absolutely flawless as well as his techniques. He only lost because he got overpowered and distracted.

At that time he was the most powerful and strong being in existence, therefore he was perfect.

but acording to dragonball all powers and strength levels can be surpased, and he was by Gohan, therefore he cesaed to be perfect.

Goku might not be the brightest person around, but he is smart for fighting; also remember King Enma recognized that Vegeta is a genious if combat. And intelligence has to do with ability.

Anyway, Cell thought he was perfect. Doesn't mean he was. A perfect being would have the sense to shoot Gohan instead of Trunks. He would have gone for the strongest. He was to arrogant and overconfident and those are flaws, no matter how you want to look at it.

Of course not ...that is his PERFECT FORM....so, he's still perfect Cell

Cell was perfect in the sense that this was his last form, and he would receive only power ups after that. [super-perfect cell was powerful than the perfect one, but they looked necessarily the same]

Cell defined what Dr. Gero meant by a 'perfect warrior'. Cell could regenerate from a single cell, and as he had a near death experience, he merged more powrful that before, which is a saiyan trait. Also, he could survive in the vacuum of outer space. These necessarily made him a perfect being, who could survive anywhere, and if he was attacked by a super powerrful attack, he would simply rgenerate from a single cell and becom more powerful than he was before. [this makes him a bit like doomsday, doesn't it?]

So, he WAS the perfect being. But arrogance and under-estimation were his only weakness, and he was killed by the same energy which he himself put in the Kamehameha.
