It is something being shown in many sites. It seems like that Akira Toriyama left a positive message on the movie. I will quote what they say:

Greg: “Bulma’s Bike is here evidently. This looks bad; they pulled out Akiba Idols to promote Nozawa. What were they thinking?”

(23:33 EST) Greg: “So far I am severely unimpressed. We’re listening to airheads talk about some very basic stuff.”

“Finally some interesting information coming out. Nozawa thinks Cell is the most frightening villian.”

(23:51 EST) Greg: “First game pictures look like DBZ Sparking but with real textures. Bulma seems to be a fighter this time around. They’re also giving out door prizes; Movie Tickets, etc. One guest won a role in the dub of the movie.” (Live Action Movie?)

(00:05 EST) Greg:”Toriyama left a message to the cast and crew of the movie: He felt surprised when he saw everything but after meeting the cast and crew, he felt they were splendid. He hopes that it will become a new Dragon Ball to be enjoyed and confirms that he is very much looking forward to it.”

If this message is true, then I will officially lose faith and respect to Akira Toriyama; as he let his own work get raped just as George Lucas has done with Star Wars.

Also if this is true, I hope he was at gunpoint or somewhat forced to say this. In the worst case scenario, maybe he got paied to say that.

Yeah, I know, lol. Of course Fox would pay him off to say something like this. What does it matter anyway? It's what the fans think that counts. BTW, Lucas did a lot of the raping to his own work. Basically, the more he got involved, the worse Star Wars got (except with Revenge of the Sith). It's the opposite with Toriyama though.

I think this is just uber ridiculous rumor and nothing else...

He felt surprised when he saw everything but after meeting the cast and crew, he felt they were splendid

To me this just sounds like someone trying to make it sound more realistic by saying "he felt surprised when he saw evertything" but in a same time wanting to make some fake retarded rumor...

I strongly believe Toriyama Akira Sama would never do such thing.

If he did! same as Tlaloc said, I'd lose any respect for him but as well as any hope in humanity(at least a tiny little bit that has left of it).
But I think this is just FOX'S MARKETING STRIKE TO KILL US DOWN! - OH NO! YOU WON'T!

well it could definitely be fake, as one of the topics about dragon ball movie in 2ch has been voicing dissapointment and indifference about the movie, and my cousin tells me that apparently an editor for weekly Jump voiced his comments on the movie and its been pretty "stale" as he put it....

one of the comments specifically said what I was thinking all of this time

" Dont worry everyone, everyone else across the ocean have the same opinion about the movie that we do! those that dont agree are either too forgiving or are being payed by Fox"

Well to tell you the truth, when I first heard that Akira Toriyama praised the movie, I totally lost hope, devastated and felt we're fighting a losing war. Then the video clip that said Lam Bulma is hot really hit the spot, coz even the japanese who i expected to be the front liners in this battle actually gave in.
But what the heck, thanks for the good news, Luffy, that news really gave me hope again. Like what is always said, Goku never gave up and so should us.

Moral of the story is - don't always listen to the talking heads on the screen. Fox only lets out things that they want you to hear in 'official' news sites, television programs, etc. It's part of their promotion. Plus if some professional with the media (reporter, actor, writer, director, etc) were to start a verbal war with Fox, it wouldn't be too good for their career in most cases.
