Why live action anime movies suck,and how to make it better.

Dude...you said you just checked out the old one...I saw the old one years ago. I've know stark treck for years.
The movie had a different story, but the characters were right. Heck. The guy that played Kirk asked for directions from Shatner, and the original Spock was in the movie.

Is it the script?
the actors?
the director?
the fact that it is live action.....?
you don't like mainstream movies?

And if you had NO CHOICE but to pick a new director for a new Dragon ball movie , who would you choose?

Do not alter my words. I went BACK to watch the old one's I didn't just see them. I do not hate aLL movies only one's adapted for example the new Avatar movie sucks!

Dude, all you know about it is ONE scene, and the actors.

I admit they fucked up the casting, but, the movie itself seems alright...the 1 minute I've seen anyway.

The one scene was horrible and have you even seen Avatar????? That was totally stupid Aang is never serious till Book 3.The actors were horrible and look at where he lives see something wrong??!!!!!!! That's no air-temple.

I wanted to do this topic so I can understand some of you guys.

We deserve a good live action dragon ball movie. if we don't talk, we will never know what that looks like...

Aang wasn't serious. he was training. Don't tell me you've never seen Aang train. I mean, it didn't reveal anything about his character. It was more a demonstration of the special effects that anything else. And as for the air temple bit...I dunno. Remember, the air temples were composed of large buildings and several small ones around them. Maybe they just spaced them out more than in the original. We have no way of knowing if that seen even means anything besides showing the costumes, etc (which btw I liked)

There can NEVER be a good LAM DB movie unless if it's a lam series in the end it's better to keep it an anime. The movie sucked.

We would need...at minimum 2 LAMs...and even then it's pushing it. To be on the safe side, a trilogy for Dragon Ball alone.

For DBZ...we would need at the very least 4 movies.

For GT 2 is sufficient. I mean, the first arc of GT seemed like filler.

This is realistic. DB can't be condensed down to 1 movie. It's impossible.

so you do a summery of what you think dragon ball should have in it.
No one has time to watch kid Goku in 3 , moves and man Goku in 3 more movies and old Goku db gt in 3 more movies.....
even Rocky only has 6 movies

then don't make it.

The story begins with the Narrator talking about the saiyans and the evil Tryant Freiza.
We than cut to space with Bardock Goku's father a proud saiyan warrior with his team-mates successfully destroying another-planet when Bardock is cursed with vision of the future. He goes to visit his new-born son and begins having pain-ful vision about his son's future and one about his team-mate's death the saiyan warrior leaves to prevent the future only to find his team-mates dead and he gets attacked by one of Freeza's henchmen Dodria.

The Injured Bardock escapes to warn others in the saiyan race but others think he is simply upset and he leaves to make sure his son Kakarot leaves Planet Vegeta soon. He later leaves to go speak to Freeza fighting off men in his way planning to stall and he manages to stall time until his death allowing his son Kakarot to leave right before he does he has a vision of his son facing off against Freiza. Later Kakarot arrives on earth and is found by a kind old man. Years later he has now raised himself in the wilderness and later when getting fish he meets a girl named Bulma astonsihed at her technology.

He learns of the dragon-balls and decides to help her search for them and the two leave to search for them getting attacked by a bird-creature. After that they rest and meet a Turtle who they carry off to the sea meeting a turtle hermet named Roshi who gives them the dragon-ball after having Bulma semi-strip. The two kids leave off to a village to get the next-one where they meet a nasty shape-shifter who kidnaps the women in the village. They manage to capture him and obtain the dragon-ball causing them to leave and get stranded on a desert after their boat-crashes.

They are later attacked by Yamcha and Puar theieves but scarred off by Bulma and they once again come to rob them as well as some criminals named Mai and Shu after the dragon-balls. The group manages to escape the attacks from the thieves and the criminals both groups searching for the dragon-balls as Goku meets Chi-Chi and helps her rescue her father the Ox-king with help from Roshi to obtain the next dragon-ball. Finally the groups heads off and are forced to face the Rabbit-Gang which tries to steal their car.

They leave as the Boss Rabbit comes after them causing a car crash in which the Boss Rabbit crashes and the group heads to a mansion where Mai and Shu once again manage to come and take the heroes Dragon-ball's returning to their master Pilaf. They learn one is missing and the group goes to retrieve it. Pilaf sets off a torture device and the villians go outside. The Heroes get to a room and manage to have Goku blow some holes in the wall for Puar and Oolong to escape and go make a wish before Pilaf. Than the heroes are pursued and trapped in a room where they will be incinerated in the morning by the sun.

The Heroes tried to figure out a way to escape and Goku remembered a story his Grand-Pa once told and than become a giant Oozaru causing them to escape he took out the castle and was defeated by his friends. The next day he went to retrieve his power-pole in the castle and decided he would train to grow strong enough to break down the walls of castle. The Teams left and Goku went to his house than Roshi's meeting him and going on a mission to find a girl while Yamcha and others crashed and were stranded in the desert searching for food, water, and West City.

They finally mangage to locate it and are taken to the hospital and Goku meets Krillin some-else wanting to train. Together they find a girl named Launch who sneezes and changes. Roshi begins training them and skip-forward eight months he and the boys head off to the World-Tournament where Goku is reunited with old friends. The friends enter the tournament and they all pass the preliminaries and Roshi joins disguised as Jackie-Chun and Yamcha begins to suspect him of being Roshi.

The group fights in the tournament and Roshi continues to take out students and later helps somone Goku beat named Nam to prove he isn't Roshi. He faces his student Goku and nearly wins until Goku once again becomes an Oozaru. Roshi blows up the moon and cheats to defeat Goku. He wins and they all go out to dinner and than Goku decides he will re-gain his dragon-balls and one day surpass Jackie Chun and leaves with a new goal.

I dunno. Mentions of Bardock should be left for latter. At first, avoid the saiyan theme so has not to confuse the audience.

No no the Saiyan thing should be explained in the cartoon it was kinda weird how Goku became a giant monkey when we thought he was human at first. Tell me what you think?

Well, in the beginning, it made Goku different, but we had talking wolves. I think it didn't mater at that point.

Hmm I see what your saying. How about King Kai tells Goku about the saiyans. or Freeza reveals what happanned since King Kai thought a comet destroyed planet vegeta.

if you show Bardock at the beging you will ruin the element of surprise for the new audience, then Goku is alien and he is suppose to be strong like superman.
but if you have Goku on earth in an alternate universe like (star Wars) then Goku is an innocent boy that has a tail who is surprisingly strong for his age.

If you look at
who should directed and be cast in the reboot dragon ball ?
I have dragon ball titles that would most likely be used in the movie....

king ki should tell Goku about the Siayin's, while Goku is training. you would not see goku train.
Goku's training should be a mystery... we all know how King ki train's him in the anime.

like superman and the fortress of solitude, when he was talking to his father for 5 years, than he got his suit and flew away. (superman the movie) you have no Idea what they where talking about for that long, Ok you now they where talking about other planets and their histories and different science. but you have no Idea what they were talking about.
