I don't mind Ace the character dying. Luffy needed to feel the sense of loss and defeat so he can grow up and be ready for the new world.

But Ace the logia dying is another thing. It's a waste
And I doubt Teach will take the power. He already has a logia

I suppose your right, but Ace was one of my fav's. Lots of times on my shows, my fav's die. Rolo on CG, Hughes on FMA, Adam on Heroes, ect. Luffy will be ready, but I didn't know ANYONE could die in one piece...

Teach is a logia, but not an intangible one.

I know this looks like SPAM, but seriously; Ace and Whitebeard were cool, honestly men, I am crying with this! I was hoping Ace would later do something important and if he died, he would die in an epic; really epic fight protecting Luffy. Guess Oda did what Kishimoto didn't dared with Itachi, Hinata and the rest.

I mean... bascially Whitebeard was seen as "God" in the OP universe! And this happens?

WB was seen as god 30 years ago. He was old, his time had passed
And Ace died because it was the end of an era...the end of the era started by Roger ended with the death of Roger's living legacy.

In a way it's fitting

Now, the new era starts, and it's living legacy is Luffy, as the will was passed to him from Ace when Ace died saving him.
