Yay! I finally watched all my anime DVD's!!

Remember I said a while ago that I kept buying them but didn't watch them for some reason? Yeah, those ones! I watched;

- Martian Successor Nadesico (vol. 2)
- Martian Successor Nadesico (vol. 5)
- Tenchi Muyo (vol. 2)
- Beyblade (vol 1)
- Love Hina (vol 1)
- Resident Evil Degeneration (movie)

I want moar!! Give me moar!!! Hehe, here are the ratings I gave them!

Nadesico's = Brilliant crazy random fun, its a bit like "What would a spaceship filled with Nikku's and Jessie's be like?" And I loved the fanservice episode!! Ruri in a dress and a swimsuit, Megumi in a nurse's uniform, Yurika in a swimsuit... hell, practically all the female cast in swimsuits!! It also made me laugh a lot (Akito's extremelly high pitched "AAAAAAAAAAGH!!! MY GEKIGANGAR!!!" was hillarious!). All in all, I enjoyed both DVD's and will buy more! 4/5

Tenchi = Effin' brilliant. It's my second favorite anime series and this DVD reminded me why. It was funny, sad and exciting in different places. It's the uncut DVD so I literally couldn't believe all this "new" footage I was seeing for the very first time! Stupid censors. Now to get vol. 3...! 5/5

Beyblade = I love this show! The voice acting was great and so were the plot of the episodes on the DVD. Kai was, is and always will be a bad ass, especially with his Dranzer blade! It was really great to see the series' roots again. Heh, it reminded me of my hectic search for my first Beyblade! 4/5

Hina = I watched the first few episodes of this show on Youtube in 2007 and found and purchased the DVD in late 2009 for £2. Like Tenchi, it can be both funny and sad at the same time, an expert balance I would say! Poor Keitaro can never catch a break, Naru's always hitting him after getting the wrong impression and thinking he's doing something perverted! Me likey! I can also relate to Shinobu, I was exactly like that when I had to move house... At least she didn't have to move in the end though. 4.5/5

Resi Evil = Action packed movie with stunning CGI, great voice acting and a twist ending! It also had Claire Redfield whom I've had a crush on since I first saw Resi 2. There are some cool extras too, such as the voice actors re-recording their character dialogue with funny alternate lines, an interview with Leon's mocap actor and a behind the scenes featurette showing them filming out the scenes! Good stuffs! 4/5


So all in all, I was thoroughly entertained! YAY!!!

Alright!! Nadesico vol. 1 arrived in the post yesterday so I'm gonna WATCH IT!!

Did you hear Johhny Yong Bosch in RE: Degeneration? That guy's in every anime these days and I heard him in the background when the people were running around in the military base.

I'm pretty sure I heard his voice, yes! And if you want a voice actor thats starting to appear in everything then take a look at Steve Blum! But his voice doesn't irritate me, unlike Yuri effing Lowenthall's. Lowenthal is in everything. EVERYTHING. I hate him and his voice, he has no range! He makes all the characters he voices sound like homo teenagers (look at what he did to Cecil in Dissidia). Aaaaaaaaaaand lets not forget he voiced Chatwin in the Dragonball Evolution PSP game!

I don't know how I got off on a rant there... sorry about that. I also noticed Wendee Lee's voice in Love Hina! She voiced Kaolla Su!

Agreed! There's no variety in voice actors nowadays. When a new thing comes out, it'll be the same voice actors you've heard in everything else. For example, in any X-Men thing released now that isn't based of the movies, Steve Blum will be the voice of Wolverine. I hate his Wolverine voice by the way, it sounds so forced...!

What happened to unique female characters like Faye, Asuka, Rei or heck, even Chi-chi or Bulma!!
