Finally decided to play Crisis Core

I decided it was time to give this game a chance. It's a pretty solid thing gameplay wise, and I digged the entire limit break mechanics
The story was meh...

Seriously, when the the modulating phase it, and it started going through Angael and Cloud, I thought I was going to just lose it...and then "he-lloo? I literally THREW THE PSP INTO MY BEDPOST! I outright gave up, and then I STILL had to push through that last bit where he finally died...

In short...this ENTIRE game...is worth about 9/10 for me JUST for that final fight. They essentially made the entire game mechanic into one huge tearjerker and made what I though would be the most boring part of the game (the already forgone conclusion) into the BEST thing.
But...that does NOT EXCUSE YOU SQUARE! You people are EVIL!

I also really enjoyed Sephiroth's portrayal in this. I always had some sympathy for him, but it really got cranked up in this one.

I got the special edition version (just came with a sleeve and a thin artbook with easily findable online CG images) in 2008 shortly after it came out. Funnily enough, the special edition version was way cheaper than the regular version.

Anyways, the ending, like you said, is one of the rare times a videogame has ever made me cry. The way his DMW starts malfunctioning and then just gets destroyed was heartbreaking. I thought we were just gonna get an FMV ending here and not actually see the fight, it took me completely by surprise having to actually play through that awful battle.

One thing that disturbs me though, is that I knew the ending was coming, I knew it had to happen and yet I still blubbed like a little baby.

This game also made Zack my favorite Final Fantasy character.

Definitely one of my favorite PSP games and my favorite of the compilation of FFVII.

Think about it? They made the entire mechanic just for that ending
