Devil May Cry Live Action Movie in the works.

As if the game reboot wasn't bad enough, Sony now plans to make a DMC movie. The worst part? They handed it over to the same studio that makes the RE live action movies.

Oh, did I mention the script writer is the guy who did that stupid Kane and Lynch movie?

As we all know, Capcom likes to make their movies as different from the games they're based on as they can, so expect garbage. The story is supposedly going to be about Dante avenging his mother's murder. [face-palm]

I'm making my predictions right now.

Director - Paul W.S. Anderson, Michael Bay, or some other hack like them.

Lead actors - Crappy, unappealing TV actors (gotta work that cheap budget). Most likely a main character will be played by one of the douchebags from Prison Break. You know, the ones who have that stupid, phony angry expression stuck on their face to look tough. They'll play Dante or one of the main characters who will probably be made up for the movie.

:Facepalm!: just like you said, as if the game reboot wasn't big enough piece of EPIC FAIL CAKE!
However it is definitely not going to be an easy task to surpass a DMC game reboot in "failureness"...I rubbed my head of floor when I read that article about it, of how bad it was.(ok not literally )

For those of you who didn't read or saw anything about it, don't do it, you have no idea how bad it is! It fails at least 0,00002 DBEs/hour.

Also, an interesting thing about Capcom and similar big Japanese companies is that they are so big and have so many separate agencies and sub-teams, that you just can't tell "I'm a fan of Capcom" because some teems simply rock and others simply fail...they are so big they even developed rivalry and hate between each other regardless of the fact that they are practically colleagues working in the same company.

But all in all somehow I feel that, fortunately, this will end up just like the first try of DMC live action movie. They started talking about it, there were some set pics which could all easily be just a fanart, cosplay art, and rumors, and then it all fell into oblivion thankfully.

First that awful reboot (which as of me typing this, STILL only has one trailer), and now this. They probably won't even cast Reuben Langdon as Dante, ya know, the most obvious and only choice! They'll probably cast a Chatwin wannabe again...

I still think that reboot is like one huge troll, and Dante gets epic right at the start

Hollywood is retarded. They look to games and anime for original ideas, then change the story completely to make it more "real". Just follow the orignal story of the original source.

To tell you the truth, I don't remember any Hollywood feature film after 2002 that is not based on something, and that is made ORIGINALLY by them from scratch. Could you remind me?

I laughed my kidneys off, I enjoy in a SUPER AWESOME action and 3D graphics(which easily can surpass Avatar effort-wise, I tell you because I myself am into 3D design) and overall I enjoyed the movie very much, yet guess what!? ITS ENTIRELY DONE BY mr. S. Shankar and the Tamil cinema.
