Re: Your favorite anime?
It is a tie in my favorite anime, since I love Dragon Ball and Neon Genesis Evangelion alike.

Re: Your favorite anime?
Well if it's STORY we're talking about its dbz, no doubt
But if it's the STYLE.. then it has got to be NARUTO
Im expecting big bangs all over my head as soon as certain someone reads this
Now seriously, i like Ninja scrool the most. It's just when i see those ninjas and stuff.. Katanas and blood spraying all over the place.. It has that anime spirit, if u know what i mean. No robots, no damn future and such, just good ol' and simple ninjas hackin' and slashin'. Throw in a little bit? of mystery and explicit content, lol, and u get the best anime ever made in my opinion. When they made series i was a little dissapointed but oh well...

I know you just said piss me off grrrr.
Just kidding...
And about Ninja Scroll, yes anime is one of my favorite, it's good old school anime style, really really great looking characters, action, everything is GREAT! but that does not mean that it is the only true anime spirit... in fact the robots(mecha animes) and such, were always in the anime world there, from the start ^^ and that is the only genere of anime that has always kept at least some sort of quality, in my personal opinion. But hey! I don't like to generalize things, so I take every anime individually and give him a few chances(even though, for most of today's animes I just throw a look, and say "neeeext!" what can I do, when the main aspect of every anime for me is the visual aspect(mostly visual look of the characters))

I think of it that I don't like it
I am pretty hard attracted to animes, that are not visually good to me
Even though One Piece is visaully pretty bad IMO, its at least original, it surely does not look like classic anime...and for that I must at least pay respect.

Great adventure. Has lots of funny moments and action. Probably not the one of the best animes but one of the most entertaining ones.
The series is too long for me to download (over 300 episodes).
Re: Your favorite anime?
I love One Piece. I remember when I first laid eyes on it back in 2003 when U.S. Jump arrived, I thought, "What's with these drawings? I could draw better than that!" But as I read more and more of it, my opinion of it changed quickly. I love how distincive Oda's art style is in the sea of stereotypical art I HATE SO MUCH. Yeah, it's a bit odd and cartoony visually, but sometimes you just need to rest your eyes on something that brings you back to the days of your childhood. And that's what One Piece does for me. I'm a "manga-ka hopeful", so to speak, and I'm still trying to find my own distinctive art style. And I'll tell ya right now, it ain't easy for me.
I think of One Piece as Dragon Ball's successor. In terms of pure adventure seen in the early days of Dragon Ball, One Piece is holding it down. Y'gotta give Eiichiro Oda his props though, I mean, his manga is longer than our beloved Dragon Ball AND it's still running to this day, not to mention this is his first serialized manga at that! I got mad respect for Eiichiro Oda. I can only wish I can obtain status like his, or any other manga-ka masters, when I finally enter the world of comics professionally.
I just think once One Piece ends, Oda will be burnt out like Toriyama was after finishing Dragon Ball. Wonder what he plans on doing after that, although I'm pretty sure he hasn't given it much thought.

When I was a kid, my list prolly went
Dragon Ball (Z or just dragon ball, no preferance) >Sailor Moon >Pokemon>Digimon>hamtaro>cardcaptors
Now It's prolly more like...
deathnote>...naruto...>Azumanga Daioh>Sailor Moon>Bobobo-bo-bobobo
and for some reason it feels like I'm forgetting a couple...

Re: Your favorite anime?
You should add Ponyo - The latest installment in the classics of Studio ghibli.
Almost all of their anime movies feature a strong hearted female character. I really like the way they draw, they can really show the emotions of the lead character. To bad Ponyo is not yet released worldwide, only in Japan I think. Spirited Away was my first taste of Studio Ghibili and I was addicted to it ever since.

yeah i haven't seen ponyo but I really really wanna!
Kiki was my first, spirited away my 2nd, castle in the sky my third, and things snowballed from there. I just watched Howl's moving castle the other day, it's so wonderful...one of the most visually amazing animes ever, and amazing in everyother way also.
Hmm, I have another anime show for my list...
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
I just started watching not to loong ago, and it is by far the most frightening anime I've ever seen...and I thought Death Note was scary!
