Ok, so we need to organize these threads, for one we need a place for the FIAS! Mag that isnt JUST for the FIAS! Mag, its got to be like for official db lam protest stuff. and we need a random section so that we can post random topics that have nuthin to do with anything in particular. i sent dtx a message, that official db lam protest section can be where all the stuff i was telling him about goes (contests, official voting stuff, etc). any thoughts/suggestions?

Well, it's already devided like that.
Random shit goes to the discusse about anything
Random shit that insults DB LAM goes to the DB LAM discussion
And official shit that has nothing to do with DBE, or is otherwise not major anouncement material, goes to the Other Anouncements.

Now what we could do, is take all the real random stuff, and make a new part inside the discuss about anything, and the DBE discussion, and put the real random shit there. The serious, opinion and real talk based stuff stays were it his. Now for this to work, Jessie and Nikku have to control their need to deviate everything from it's original topic. And if they don't, i guess mods have to be more strict...wait...they are mods...I give up.

sounds good. we also need a random area cuz sometimes people just like to write random stuff. and an area thats for official stuff like the mag but i cant figure out what to call that, official something. i think its more about pleasing the people that come here all the time than being taken seriously by anybody else, cuz the petition itself shows how serious we are. i definitely need to think about it more

I talked with secor about this...I think its a good idea but in the same time I think forum is already divided the right way but its just the number of topics that makes it look more messed up.
Here is my suggestion:

After some time spent thinking about this I think that the best solution is to rename this section to "Official forum stuff and other important announcements" or something like that? if you have some better name that will pretty much say the same thing please suggest me? cause as you see my English sucks

And then just replace all the not related topics into DB live action movie discussion or Discussion about anything. I personally think that is the best solution.

Please let me know what you all think?

i think if anything we need a random section to put all the bullsh!+ topics, and discuss about anything can be actual discussions (like it should be). i'd rather have more sections than less, it seems like you guys would rather have it the other way around. i think Official Forum ?Stuff? should be like how "News" and "Welcome" and "Fun and Artwork" are, how they hold other sections in it, then we can have like the Contests and Polling section, an About Us section, and a Work and Play section (described as any official work or fun things we make for the forum).

we definitely need to completely agree on what we're gonna do tho so if anyone has any suggestions or changes to make about the section names and stuff, well you'll probably say something anyway.

Because "Discuss about anything" should be used for (serious) discussions.
We definitely need a section where all the spam topics should be placed.

I cleared my opinion, I think that this WHOLE category "NEWS" which comprehends two section "News and important announcements" and "Other announcements" should be called "Official Forum Stuff" and then to rename the "News and important announcements" simply into "News and Announcements" and "Other announcements" into "Contests, Voting and Statistics"
