Oh dear! Tekken live action movie goes straight to DVD!

According to a September 24, 2009 MMAMadness.com radio interview with Roger Huerta who plays Miguel Caballero Rojo in the movie, the film will premiere on November 5, 2009 in Santa Monica, California. However, an interview with Cung Le from around the same time revealed a very vague 2010 release. According to various sources the film will be released direct to DVD in the UK on April 5, 2010.

Well yes, I mean LAM's such as DBE, some I just can't stand. Like Superman 3 and 4 were just horrible.

They were bad as movies and adaptions.

The Spiderman movies were amazing, and so were the X men movies. I'm just piseed at Wolverine Origin because Deadpool is one of my top ten favorite fictional characters EVAH and they screwed him up. But they had Gambit, and an awesome game! So I dunno know.

Superman Returns was a rip off, of the original Superman with better graphics, and less action, but it's watchable.

Dark Knight, and the Hulk Reboot were epic. Ghost Rider was preetty cool, and I've never seen the Spawn movies nor the Dr.Strange film(Minus the animated one)

I also support LAM's because they help the comic book series, and get more fans.

I believe that movie being bad/good as a movie is a fully subjective thing therefore the discussion about it is pointless, but bad/good as an adaptation is very straight unambiguous thing and this forum is all about that if it is absolutely blasphemous like DBE then there is nothing to talk about it, fans of that franchise should definitely protest it and we should give them full support and welcome them here.

But if it somehow happens for some LAM to actually turn out to be good as an adaptation or at least the one that doesn't ruin or contradict to its source material(like DBE did) then ok, no protesting then, I would then whether ignore or support such adaptations, depending on their faithfulness of course

I won't be unreasonable when judging adaptions, but Deadpool is like epic! They lietrally made him into an entirely different character! he has nothing to do with the comics Deadpool AT ALL!

The overall movie is still a great action film though non the less.

I hate XO, because they messed up DP. He's always been a favorite of mine, and the movie is horrible. Although they rushed the movie, too much action not enough plot. Wolverine's child-hood was barely shown, Sabertooth is NOT his brother, they had NO costumes, and they couldn't even get all the WX team.

There were not even that many members! MY GOD! They ruined Silverfox! For a Comics fan It's a horrible movie, for the average person it's decent, for a person who hates plot, and just loves action it's *Shudders* Perfect*

Justin think if they made DBE have the same amount of action but they messed up your favorite characters Cell, Vegeta. You wouldn't care? What if Cell was a human, and he was just a truck driver, who had a tail, and he had an obsession with stabbing people.

That's basically DP, but a bit better.

Weird thing is that the Tekken movie did looked a bith faithful (the actress playing the blonde Williams sister looks OK), still it is terrible.

Yeah, they did right with a few of the looks (Marshall Law for example looks fantastic), but others are a big "WTF!?" like Kazuya with his massive goatee and short non spikey hair and Brian has a goatee as well...

Hollywood doesn't know how to adapt stories from Japan onto film because they insist on 'Americanizing' it. It just doesn't work.

Yes, the more you put into something, the more you get out of it.

Hollywood dosen't get this, or else they would put more effort into their adaptions. Think how epic a Batman Tv series could be? They planned an LAM about Bruce Wayne's teenage years.
