Graphics and online game play is obviously not everything. The PS2 has just shipped another 150 million units, and has a library of 10,828 games. With Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas apparently on top. As IGN said, PS3 has some catching up to do.

Looks like I'll be buying PS2 games for quite some time. I love the console, and over 10,000 titles. Not to say I'll never own a PS3, but I'll have my PS2 for many years to come.

PS3 isn't all bad, it does have games I actually want. Removing PS2 playback was a retarded choice on Sony's end though, especially since they kept PS1 playback.

I have more Playstation 2 games than any other system I owned, combined! PS3 is starting to get better, but it'll never have the same UMPH and stuff that the PS2 has.

There's only one ps3-exclusive game that I'm interested in and it's a Katamari game, and it doesn't even matter because there's like 5 other Katamari games on the ps2/PSP/Xbox 360 lol

now if they ever make a kingdom hearts 3 and they put it on the ps3....

I'm looking at the Killzone games, GTA 4. Saints Row 2 & 3, God Of War 3 (is gonna be my first game), and a few more I don't remember the name of off hand.

PS2 is awesome it still rocks just as much!

And man I never finished Kingdom Hearts neither 1 or 2, remorse eats me alive Sad

But I just don't have enough time right now and my PS2 is at my friends :/

Yupyup! Nomura recently confirmed it! But it won't be coming out for a while yet though, cause he has so many projects left to do. Damnit Squenix, stop whoring out FFXIII stuff and give us KH3!!

The PS2 was the top gaming console for years.
It directly competed with the Xbox...360! That's right, the PS2 competed with a gaming system from a generation ABOVE IT!

That's how good it is. It may not have the shinny graphics, but it's just more fun.

Fun, simple, and in most cases, very reliable, especially if you have a fat with a HDD installed.
