For those of you who can't read Spanish, it says the budget for Dragonball Evolution was only $45 million dollars. That's not even as high as Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li's $50 million budget! This explains why the budget was never officially unveiled and the rumor that was spread by none other than Fox's very own James Marsters. It's too obvious after how terrible the movie looked and was. This also explains why boxofficemojo.com never showed the budget for the movie either.
-That's the crappy news.
The really crappy news is that since DBE's budget is only $45 million, then it's probably going to profit being that it's already sold around $21 million in ticket sales in Asia. I really hope this doesn't mean there will be more sequels, which will also no doubt be low-budget garbage movies.

Let me translate, the title says: Goku arrives with his power to the cinema.
The rest says: In the film of Dragon Ball which will premiere in the U.S. in April, everything has been hardly critiscized, like its story, the characters and the effects, however, in various asian nations where the film has been already presented it has had a great success and has become one of the most blockbuster/higher grossing films. Most of the filmming was done in Mexico, in locations like the city of Durango and the mexican capital.
I can't manage to read clearly the Argument section, but it ends with the possibility of making a sequel.
You know, maybe this 45 million thing is something Fox is pulling out of his arse just to justify the film.
Really people, just don't give any money to them.

I just read the part that translates to "$45 million for the cost of the movie".

But if it IS true, no wonder it sucked. I mean with 45 million, its hard to make a good movie right?
If it comes to confimation its true, I will officially put all the blame of this disaster on 20th century fox, and leave the cast and crew alone. I'll still finish my fanfic though...maybe they were brain washed too like DTX XD.
